Price isn’t the only factor, though. There’s also time and energy. If you just worked a long shift, you’ve been on your feet all day, bonus points if you have to deal with public transport, you’re not gonna be in the mood to cook something. You either stop and get junk on the way home or you make something instant in

Been taking the bus for the past four years I’ve been at college. (I’m sick of people asking why I don’t drive. We don’t live in some magical world where everyone can afford a car!) It’s not terrible, but lately it’s really been starting to bum me out. Like you said, it’s a huge time suck. Most of the buses only come

It seems to me that a lot of adults and parents don’t realize that kids often take things more seriously and more literally. The parent thinks stuff like this is cute and jokey, but the child interprets it differently.

Might depend on where you live. In some places, it’s growing more popular for parents to take their kids to “trunk or treat” events instead of regular Halloween trick or treating. But that’s not all places. Halloween is on a Saturday this year, so maybe there will be more kids out.

My parent’s house never got a lot of trick or treaters, even though it’s in a fairly wealthy neighborhood where most of the homes have small children. Funny thing is, if I go down the end of our street and turn left, we enter an older neighborhood where Halloween is HUGE. Nearly everyone decorates at least a little,

Sweet! I think stuff like this is a good alternative for people who aren’t comfortable giving out sweets. I’m not a fan of people who give out raisins or toothbrushes. Why are they trying to take the fun out of Halloween? There are plenty of good, non-candy alternatives! Hell, some of my favorite Halloween stops were

When I have a house, I wanna give out full-sized candy bars for Halloween. Also, toys. Like those bouncy balls that look like eyeballs, or those little rubber ducks in Halloween costumes. So cute!

I’m a broke college student and I can really only afford to own one game system at a time. I always go with the Nintendo handheld. If they can pull this off, it would be pretty awesome for me, ha ha.

If we had doorknobs like that, I’m sure my oldest cat would figure them out. She loves to go outside and will do anything to get there.

Same here, I thought “Is the Satanic panic coming back?”.

I heard that Playboy actually used to have good articles.

Men are more conditioned to see violence as an acceptable solution. They’re also encouraged not to talk about their feelings and stuff, so they’re less likely to seek help if they’re having problems. There’s also a certain... subculture of men that likes to sit around and bitch about how women are ruining everything

I always think it’s kind of ridiculous that children get taught this sanitized version of history, and then learn the real stuff later. (well, not always) That shit probably just confuses them. Can you imagine if they did that with other subjects? Like, if elementary school science classes taught kids that storks

I went to work. It was my first job and prom seemed like a waste of time and money. The other students said it wasn’t very good anyway. I mean, I might’ve been interested in prom if my school actually made it good, but it looked like it was gonna be lame and the people who went agreed.

They don’t want to blame themselves for not being able to get a date. Plus, a lot of them focus on certain types of women, the types who aren’t really into the introverted, unconfident, basement dweller types.

This game looks great! How are they able to do such good graphics without a crazy budget?

Yeah, my friends like to go to Forever 21 every time we go to the mall, and the prices are low, but I don’t like to get stuff there. Sure, they’re cheap, but quality is a mixed bag, a bunch of the stuff is made of flimsy fabric and often the stitching leaves something to be desired.

And with the fast fashion model, clothes get discontinued pretty quickly. It’s probably very easy for Forever 21 to get away with this kind of thing because a bag or an article of clothing is only available for a short period of time. They’re less likely to get caught.

Seriously, I don’t know why all of these companies that get caught stealing art don’t just pay for it in the first place. Most artists wouldn’t demand much money. I guess the companies figure that the artists won’t try to sue, since they’re not gonna have the money to take on a large company.
