I used to get really into things as a teenager (cringe) but as an adult I just kind of enjoy liking things broadly. I want to follow things well enough to get some of the references, but I don’t want to pursue some encyclopedic knowledge of minutiae to lord over other fans, or treat trivia one-upmanship as if it’s an

Bookwalkers or Unsullied, depending on whether you’ve also read the books.

Mob bosses cannot agree with each other on money laundering strategy.

You should see the interview of Stellan Skarsgard on youtube, he was asked about Scorsese’s comments and he gives a good answer about the whole thing.

The thing about acting in “prestige fare” like Coppola and Scorsese et al. is that, as an actor, you have to disappear in several key ways into the auteur’s personality and quirks. That’s not innately bad, but when you play, say, a Tarantino movie, you have to play as a Tarantino character. Or a Coen Brothers’

What’s crazy is that other rental companies are not jumping at this marketing opportunity. "Like renting cars and not getting arrested? Try Avis." You have obviously never flown to Alaska where half the bin space in the winter is taken up with arctic parkas. What are you supposed to do with a jacket? Put it on the floor? I pay the money for a checked bag and it is not unreasonable to put my briefcase in the overhead. The rule should be that nothing with wheels

I think the most important thing in all of this is whether this guy’s hair is a wig or not, so the investigating is not done yet.

I didn’t have a problem with the fake marina. I had a problem with them not making it Florida enough. Where were the fake gators infesting the fake water? Where’s the clapped out fishing boat owned by tweakers?

This practice in China is not new. It isn’t now and it wasn’t 15 years ago when I helped a US company set up operations in China. Any company or person that puts IP in China is a fool and I have little sympathy for them. The allure of such a huge market blinds them.

The biggest problem is that there are millions more JUST LIKE HIM out there.
