Well, since we’re treating passengers like cattle, I suppose planes shouldn’t be anything more than Ryanair buses. Still, I’m not sure that airlines not asking for safety based on deceptive sales technique is really a good representation of this particular situation. Caveat Emptor has its limits after all.

Ah, now I see. There were bits and pieces of information I was missing and forgetting also. It’s weird how the politics of that works. It’s sort of like what happened to Dan Gurney/AAR and Toyota. Odd things in competition occur. And the mother country always has its own agenda.

Yeah, but it seems as if the Honda F1 experience had some impact on Alonso which is what I was thinking of.

Interesting to see the Hondas at their positions. Wonder if Alonso is wondering if his move to stay away from Honda was the smart move? Honda was never going to sit back and rest at being good with broken engines....the F1 experience wasn’t going to translate to Indy, they were always going to come back.

I’d like them to run Road Atlanta, but that will probably never happen since AMS is right up the road. IMHO, NASCAR is not doing themselves a favor when they pick one over the other based on who owns what.

Texas Motor Speedway ownership is?

Executives can be salespeople too; just a different title and office.

Probably doesn’t really count, but Smashmouth?

Man, we’re looking at a Tesla possibly as a replacement for the wifes’ RX. It makes me a little nervous that she has access for autonomous mode because while she is a careful driver, she can be distracted easily and any electronics that will give her the idea that she can do something else for a few seconds is a big

With that comment about days long error chains, you reminded me of JAL 123 which took 7(!) years for the final failure (the bad splice at the rear bulkhead) to occur. Which then leads to UA232 (also total loss of hydraulics, although no empennage loss) in which the CF6 had that total fan disk failure (after a lot, a lo

IIRC, that software enablement required also the extra $xxK or so to also have the 2nd airspeed sensor installed at the same time. Wonder which idiot salesman decided that should be an option to make money on and if Boeing regrets that decision.

I wonder if those rear window pop-out motors fail much. My old ‘04 Odyssey had them and I had 3 failures. 2 were under warranty and the 3rd I just left as is when I returned the machine. I figured it was even because I had put in a 15" screen and dvd player. Probably pretty easy to replace but I just found the idea of

Higher intolerance for alcohol, drug abuse, and electronic distraction while driving. Use a similar protocol that certain other countries use regarding loss of license and privileges. Tighten up vehicle inspections.

Just don’t get under water. Colorado sounds like a nice place to let the days go by.

Ben Shapiro is so envious, he’s considering falling off a sidewalk now....

Silverstone ‘20 last weekend was a decent race. And Merc finished 2-3, so that was a little different. Dunno how they screwed up on tires so bad but they did. They’re not omnipotent after all.

Riversides too.

LOL, that’s most excellent!

Unfortunate, depending on the major highway.

So beats the elegant way to go to war then?
