Still not having completed it after 80 hours (and that’s mostly just from doing the actual gigs and not simply “assaults in progress” chaff) I do enjoy the game, definitely a 7-8, with some points it excels at. The way in which all playstyles are catered for, both the melee and firearms feeling powerful and effective

So a legitimate question. You think that Sony pulled Cyberpunk 2077 out of the PS store and started giving, along with Gamestop apparently, refunds just because... overreactions on the internet? Like do you understand how much those decisions will cost for those companies? Can you name another buggy game release they

Personally I had way more with Cyberpunk.

I’ve been lucky, my experience has been mostly bug free. Some minor things here and there.

I just don’t see how knowing a few dozen people qualifies someone to say everyone else is lying and must not be having problems. If 30 people say they haven’t had serious problems, you can’t take that to assume that millions of other people also haven’t had serious problems.

So exactly how many people is that total? 30, 40? Do you see what I’m getting at here? Even if you personally knew hundreds, that is still anecdotal evidence, and nowhere near enough to discount that everyone else complaining is ‘blowing this out of proportion.”

I honestly think you are just on the lucky end of the spectrum with Cyberpunk. Because for me it there new bugs every time I play. And by I mean ones I haven’t seen in the game yet. Last night, along with bugs like a hard crash which I had sadly seen before, I had a gun that wouldn’t shoot and enemies that were

Oh, I could go on and on with the Cyberpunk bugs (countless lighting glitches, NPCs stuck in t-poses, floating objects, etc...). I haven’t hit the save corruption issues thankfully, but this game has it all. I only listed mere fraction of what I’ve personally run into and I’m not even that far into the game.

How many people have you talked to, and do you think that’s enough to account for all of the people who’ve said they’ve experienced major problems?

The scope is just so much larger with Cyberpunk.  It doesn’t have any issues other games haven’t had, but it has basically every issue any game has ever had.

Oh, I played both at launch. I have plenty of experience with buggy games since they also tend be the games I like to play (Bethesda games, AC games, or pretty much any open world game). Cyberpunk is WAY beyond any of those. Beyond countless cosmetic bugs I see while playing the game flat crashes and/or forces me

In any case, I hope this leads to games being more finished before they are released, or at least to gaming companies keeping a closer eye on how ambitious what they are putting out is from the get-go. It reminds me of Heaven’s Gate... a 4 hour snore-fest that nearly (or completely) tanked Warren Beatty’s career, and

At this point I think I’ll just keep my PS4 version of CP2077 to commemorate the shittiest release a video game has ever had in history. I’ll tell my grandkids like it was a scary campfire story, flashing my flashlight to my face like, “There once was a video game release that was so bad that it angered an entire

You’re upset that an article posted on 12/19 didn’t reference a hotfix that came out on 12/20?

In answer to your question, it’s right here. Kim Stanley Robinson has been doing it for a while now!

But it does seem like they’re realized exactly how much they’ve fucked up, and instead of trying to hold their ground and pretend like the Emperor’s clothes really are lovely, they’re trying to fix things in a consumer-friendly way.

Yeah that would be good, although it still causes problems with people who have data caps. If you need to download the whole game as a demo you’re talking 60-100 GB of a cap on something you might not even like. A smaller slice of the game would be ideal but that takes a lot more effort to make.

Side note: I requested the refund using the link in this article and received an email my refund was approved about 5 minutes later

I’m playing on an Xbox One X and was enjoying it, felt the story was getting good and had early fallout esque jank that was okay to play through (people sliding into position makes me laugh) but when it kept consistently crashing, especially during tense moments or right after good story beats kind of taking the steam

Sections that stagger below 15 fps. Long stretches of game that run below 20 fps. 10-20 second texture pop-in. Rampant bugs. Unplayable missions, hard crashes — I’ve seen multiple reports of people who claim the game has crashed their systems anywhere from once a day to 10x a day. (All of this is referencing the
