No Blu-Ray? Damn, that blows. I like to have a physical copy because I’m that old. I’d even pay ridiculously inflated Disney prices for one.

Oh, yes it was! VERY much so. Vader wasn’t even a main character in the beginning, and only grew more prominent once Lucas saw some of the paintings Ralph McQuarrie had done in pre-production.

That movie is so gloriously insane and over-the-top.  Which reminds me, I need to put the Blu-Ray on my Amazon Wish List!

THIS. This has been my biggest question. While you could debate Lucas’ directorial and storytelling abilities until Thanos snaps his finger for a second time, it’s SO obvious that having a consistent team of like-minded people involved at the highest level to guide the story through all three films is a goddamned

“I don’t. . .I don’t believe it!”

I’d very strongly recommend this book, as it is a well-researched and heavily annotated examination of the writing and production of the first six films.

That was one of the very few things about TLJ that I liked.  Even though I won’t go to see Episode IX, I would be sorry to hear if that was contradicted.

I wouldn’t put all the praise on Lucas. He didn’t have nearly as much creative control on the first two films, and because those productions were so much more collaborative (both in terms of story, character and design) they were much, MUCH better for it.

You and I, we are of a kind. The best thing I can say about TLJ is that it was The Last Straw for me. I realized that it was time.

Right there with you. Probably the biggest part of my disappointment with TLJ was realizing that I really was done. While I enjoyed TFA well enough, it was too nostalgic and too recycled to stand on its own. I thought Rogue 1 was a dreary mess. The rewrites had a palpable negative effect on the coherence of the story,

The only thing I’m sure of at this point is the reviews, both in print and online, are going to be WAY more entertaining!

I suspect that the forums on this site are going to resemble an orchestra of scorched cats!

SO agree!

Yep. I can imagine it’ll be like watching a train made out of glitter and neon crash for two and a half hours. I’m going to pass, and I’m betting that the reviews in print and online are going to be WAY more entertaining!

Maul got cut in half and was presumed dead, and then magically reappeared, so it’s definitely a possibility.  It would certainly be nice if they made an attempt to develop his character for once.  Perhaps third time’s the charm?

I’ve never played any of the Pokemon game before Go or seen the TV show or movies, but this was really a delightful and heartwarming story.  So happy for you!

They’re my favorite, too!  They’re so weird and awesome.  8-D

Now playing

SO glad to see someone drop some knowledge about this stuff. I grew up watching nature documentaries, and some of the best are about the amazing creatures that live so deep that there’s NO light at all.

Of course, David Attenborough has many spectacular documentaries involving creatures of the sea, and if you want to

Perhaps I don’t recall him offering to pay because I was too upset by the childish display of revenge. Perhaps “trashed” is too strong of a word to use, but Superman causing ANY damage to the diner is inexcusable.

It was a selfish and childish act by a character who is supposed to be better than that.

I’ll give Season 2 a try. Thank for the suggestion!

I really wish the whole series was like this.
