@Ursus-Veritas: I thought that sentence was a bit odd myself. Soairse Ronan as one of three people being considered to voice Smaug? Then I realized they just meant Nighy for the dragon. How about Stephen Fry for Beorn?

So is the conclusion of John Dies at the End as obvious as the end of Michael Flynn's The Wreck of The River of Stars but the story and characters are so awesome that you just keep going anyway?
@ThisGuy: Because they learned their science from Thundarr, of course.
@DonQuixote74: I thought I was the only one who missed Danger Mouse.
@Bizara: Not every great character is an admirable human being. Hopkins as Lecter, Ledger as the Joker, Fiennes as Amon Goeth.
"I know who you are" but what am I?
@J_Frank_Parnell: Or a man at a grocery store facing a shopping list.
@IDoDoodle: "Hi Ho Cherry-O" will be playing on Cinemax at 2:00 am next week.
We'll finally get to visit Somme-World! The Quangle-Wangle's efforts won't be for naught.
@accesskathryn: True, it only works if you're going to Ohio in the first place for another reason.
@accesskathryn: I would return 50 bottles/cans for deposit in Michigan.
@VeryCapable: Can you meet my wife? I'll paint her nails for her (hands and feet) but the smell of that nail polish remover just does me in.
@purefog: But what if you don't want to go where they're going? And I'm pretty sure you couldn't pay me enough to take a long trip with some people driving.
@CandyBacon: movie tickets for a nickel
@Charlie Jane Anders: I think that is where the flaw to your argument really lies. Most people don't know that these movies are remakes of foreign films. It isn't the "foreign-ness" of them that keeps people away, it's the lack of desire to see this or that particular story.
@KosstAmojan: I actually felt that "Steal Across the Sky" was very weak, seeming even more so in comparison to anything else Kress has ever written. I love Nancy Kress and only finished it because she wrote it and I kept hoping for more.
@guajars: Have you read Lincoln's Dreams? Not a time travel story but one of the most absolutely powerful endings I've ever read in any genre.
One of the great things about having a small child around is having an excuse to read children's picture books. Oh the hours junior-falcons and I spent reading and re-reading her favorite books when she was little.
@Eddard: Oops. That was actually me. Didn't notice that Winnie hadn't logged out.
