@matttrick: My point being that you can't pile stuff up on water into a mound. Can currents collect it into a concentrated area? Yes. Can currents pick stuff up and put it on top of other stuff? I'd like to see that.

Tonight on Aegean Shores Aristotle takes his "situation" to the agora and chugs an amphora of wine.
@chr0me: Fair enough. I'll probably go see the new Tron as well, it looks stunning. That's why I finally watched the original, so I'd have the back story.
@coconanas: No, no she doesn't.. On her pubic region, yes but not on her vagina. Did you not read the first 200 comments?
@chr0me: Well, okay, but that really just supports my nostalgia theory. I stipulated the special effects in my original post. And I was 15 when it came out so still young enough that the special effects would have been special although I could never quite get past the day-glo Mark Messier hockey helmets.
@SmokeDiver: I love Kirk going -
@8x10: Where are you hearing about "mounds of floating junk?" How exactly do you make a "mound" on the surface of the ocean? I can make a mound in my backyard but if I put in my pool it all spreads out across the surface.
I was talking to junior-falcons the other day about House. We think it would be hilarious when they get around to doing a series finale that they spend two hours of show time testing disease after disease only to learn that the patient has lupus in the closing minutes.
Standard joke at our house:
@Fauxcused: If you want to see who all has been cast so far head over to winter-is-coming.net. They've been running a great blog there for close to two years.
@I Think We're Property: As someone who passed on seeing Tron when it was released (yes, I am that old) and just finally saw it for the first time a few weeks ago I've gotta say - I don't understand the love for the original. Effects were cutting edge for its time but the acting and the script were execrable.
@antonchigurh: I remember when Uranus made some of the best merchandise in the solar system.
@antonchigurh: The real problem is all the Klingons orbiting around Uranus.
@Kogo: I can only recommend you read Dying Inside by Robert Silverberg.
@antonchigurh: Try using both hands.
@smcallah: Just be glad it's not ferns. The old guy who lived in my house before I bought it had a sister named Fern so he planted them all over the place in her honor. Three years later I'm still trying to get them out of my lawn. What a nightmare.
@Eester: Raises hand!
But what are the Ghostbusters doing in the Green Lantern? I see you Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson.
Picture # 1 actually looks more like the bar in Dick Cheney's aorta.
@MinervaAlpaca: "Granted, I haven't been eaten there for probably a decade"
