Yeah, but he hated lazy films. You can make a lark, make something for the fans, and he’d judge the humor and intent as such but you need to put some effort into it. He liked Kevin Smith more than most (Jersey Girl, Chasing Amy, and Dogma all 3.5 star reviews and Clerks got 3) but he hated Mallrats and Cop Out because

he’s transitioned into being a full time personality and occasional writer and/or director of already realized TV shows.

He’s also good in The Myerowitz Stories (New and Selected).

Well also Eisner had a habit of opening parks with very few attractions and highly over budget. Paris was lacking in rides (as was Studios and California Adventure).

I think it’s Polar Bear instead that they keep the Bumpo subplot.

I feel like they all returned to form after the setup episode (which really should have been a one hour premiere). Tahani had great stories, and her being in that room, true or not, was quite affecting. Chidi was in constant freakout mode. Elanor knew how to be evil and did so really well. And finally... Michael.

Is there a reason why this isn’t a 1990's John Woo fim?

Also, has Ang Lee gone full Zemeckis and is now just making movies because the technology exists script be damned?

I’ve often wondered if Kenan is being groomed for that. At this point they might as well just give him an executive producer credit. Man’s been doing TV sketch comedy for 26 years and is a mentor to just about every cast member at this point.

I was thinking the same thing about the “Black Ice” sketch, but this was a nice twist on it.

Also props the graphic department for that weather map of what could literally be anywhere on the east coast. south of New York. That’s the kind of vague yet specific graphic design I love.

These comments never have staying life. A person 60 years ago was saying “I guarantee people 60 years from now will be watching Solomon and Sheeba.

It made it’s budget back and got great notices. That was enough to make the indie people trust Linkletter and finance his next film, as long as it cost less than Dazed. There was buzz around him.

I don’t know a ton. I’m just a librarian who was bored and decided to research this for some reason.  A pretty crappy

“C’mon, you know how this works. You fail and then you try something else. And you fail again, and again, and you fail a thousand times, and you keep trying because maybe the thousand-and-first idea might work.” - it’s the premise of all Shur’s shows.  It’s why I love them.

Linkletter picked Hawke after a lot of auditions. He was writing his own ticket because this was his first film after Dazed and Confused. Hawke, meanwhile, was coming off White Fang II, an uncredited role in Quiz Show, and something called Floundering. Reality Bites was considered a flop because Winnona Ryder was huge

And think people went to see Dead Poets Society, The Magnificent 7, and Training Day because they stared Ethan Hawke. Training Day and Magnificent 7 did exactly the amount of money that Denzel Washington movies make (about $90m no matter what) while Dead Poets Society was all about Robin Williams.

I’m guessing that this uptick in junk posters will drop after the outcry over Joker’s B- rating dies down. That thread seems to have pulled out all the winners into the comments sections.

However if she says “no” to this there is no movie.  She’s of equal import.

Not true. On a per capita basis, there were 12 gun deaths per 100,000 people in 2017 – the highest rate in more than two decades. Gun suicides reached their highest recorded level in 2017. The 39,773 total gun deaths in 2017 were the most since at least 1968, the earliest year for which the CDC has online data.  https:

Comic book fans flooding a comments section with insults and hot takes when the reviewer doesn’t like one of the movies? And fans of the Joker, no less?

Color me shocked.

I don’t get at all how people call Goodfella’s “humanizing.” They are all portrayed as lunatics and evil, and even when they are at their peak they are miserable and paranoid, even with their “best friends.”  People who think Scorcese glorifies these people are the same ones who think Walter White and Tony Soprano are

I brush my teeth and shave in the shower.  Am I a monster?
