if there’s one element of The Good Place that hasn’t always been consistently clear, it’s stakes.... the show has shied away from much of the real horror awaiting Team Cockroach (and, you know, all of us)...

At least they already made regionals.

I don’t see any reason to watch this bland show starring talented people, other than it’s between Superstore and The Good Place. Sort of like how Wings was between Cheers and LA Law.

I was there about 2 months ago and played with their special app in Disney Play called the Data Pad. I slowly realized that the characters would interact with me differently depending on the alignement I showed them. Viv, the rebel spy who walks around, was completely in character when I subtly flashed her the Rebel

That’s exactly why I’ve stuck to Downcast. I just tried the new Pocket Casts and found it’s playlist features to be seriously lacking.  Playlists are literally the only thing I want from my podcast app.  Downcast is a little more work but it’s more robust on that end.

You mentioned Noah Schnapp’s body language, which goes to show how shockingly great all the young actors are on this show. I’d like to give a shout-out to Wynona Ryder’s shoulders. Even when she’s relaxed there is a lifetime of tension in them. It’s not showy. It just resides there, ebbing and flowing but never leaving

I was completely unprepared for how delightful this is.

I love JLD, but if she wins for the sixth time in 6 nominations I’m gonna be mad. Yes, she is one of the great TV actresses in one of the great roles. This year, though we have better, daring work from other actresses they are going to give her the 7th in 7 years for the same role.  You can still be great and not win.

You know as kind of a Disney ultrafan I never saw the crossover until you just pointed it out. It’s now ridiculously obvious - especially in the bounders who go a little too far in the cat or bunny ears, tails, and leggings.

Also, after Pepper Brian Epstien died. Nothing after that really had the cohesion of the earlier albums and Lennon/McCartney were even considering taking individual credits. Epstien kept them on track and reminded them that they needed each other’s input on their compositions. He might have drove them monstrously hard

I have a high tolerance for making leaps of logic in movies, but I completely fail to believe that we wouldn’t have shot the ever loving shit out of all these animals immediately. It would be like the opening day of deer season all over the country, only times 100. Poachers would have a field day, ranchers would put

Malkovich.  Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich?  Malkovich.

Pretty wonderful feeling, being constantly surprised by a show!

Old white guy who spent his kid’s inheritance fighting a small fine in the name of getting government off his back?

I’m going out on a limb here and guessing voted for Brexit.

They are Finnish funeral doom.

I think what you are talking about is “Credit utilization.”

In some formulas it’s more important to charge a little something every month and have that be a small percentage (5-10%) of your total lines of credit than carry over a zero balance. What a low credit utilization does is prove that you won’t spend over your

I’m a supporter. Calling something the worst Coen Brothers film is still really high praise. It’s as close to a work for hire as they’ve ever done. It was their own script but it wasn’t written for them.

Something that is overlooked in the Coen Brothers’ career is how good they are at writing scripts that match the

I like the film too, though it pales to the 1955 Elering original which is one of my favorite black comedies of all time.

Doom metal has grown and changed since Sabbath. Although they play in the same genre early Sabbath and Skeptisicm (sorry if the spelling is wrong, doom is not my genre) are quite different. Sabbath informs Skepticism but they do not strictly ape Sabbath. The bad reviews for Joker point to it being a pastiche, mainly

After seeing the second wave of reviews I’m starting to think this film is not going to stand up after a few years. There are two main reasons:

1) It won’t hold up for style. If you like early Scorsese, which even the reviews who love it say it’s highly derivative of it right down to DeNiro playing the Jerry Lewis part
