Cheers: I Do, Adieu, Home is the Sailor, I on Sports.

Cheers season 5 didn’t end on a cliffhanger. In I Do, Adieu they definitively settled the Sam and Dianne will they/won’t they. The writers set the template for how that kind of relationship can be handled and brought to a close: by taking it seriously. They acknowled

I think you can take almost any 3 episodes of The Good Place season 2 and make a strong case. For me it’s got to include Best Self. So I’ll bookend that with Leap of Faith and Rhonda, Diana, Jake, and Trent which is pretty much nonstop jokes, all of which land.

It’s also one of the most vicious scenes in all of Marvel. I couldn’t believe that they let him get away that.  In a way, even more so than the opening, this is the scene that made me feel like individual directors would be able to start to add something of their own style to a Marvel film.

The series soundtrack hasn’t made it into the 2000's.  Give them 2 more films.

I know you are talking about career path and not musical style, but there are going to be a lot of people wanting to hear music like Robyn based on the headline. Calling someone the American Robyn is writing a check not many artists can cash. Still, I like her music a lot. Just let’s tamp down expectations here.

Now what kind of crazy show would have its hero become a director in his own questionable museum?

the writers have said that the Future stuff in Arrow is locked in.

I hate to use this “out” for Thwane being alive and looking like Wells, but the answer is the grand comic “because.” Characters often die and then turn out to be alive and the only explanation given is “I escaped.” The only one who stays dead is Uncle Ben.

(Also, it’s far less expensive to just have Tom Cavanaugh do it

I’ve been enjoying this series so far, but your right. This is a bizarre choice. At this point Marvel started to gain the confidence to show off more of a sense of humor and the more out there regions of the universe.

I understand that they didn’t want to choose just action sequences. My personal pick then would be

End of war doesn’t mean the end of conflict.

It’s not like Star Wars movies are know for their deep, multi layered dialogue.

Ok, I’ll give her that even though I disagree.  But think about all the less than good looking actors who have had great careers.  She’s more talented than a lot of them.

For reals - Hellboy has a lot of punchlines and comments from offscreen or by characters with their back turned. I highly doubt any written by Patton Oswalt.

The other 30% - Charlie Kauffman.

Patton Oswalt contributed the last 10%, but that’s all punchlines being shouted by people offscreen.

I’m kinda burned out on universally high stakes films as well. Maybe it’s age, but personal stakes are much more effecting for me now than a “dusted” universe.

My brother was a fiscally conservative religious Republican gay until “the cognitive dissonance just became too much.” He’s not a fiscally conservative religious Democrat gay.

It’s always gonna be tough for him.

This season, so far (I am only on episode 2 and will be watching it about 2 episodes a day). They’ve carried everything that’s good over to the new season, and ditched some of the dead ends. The tropes it’s spoofing feel much more targeted.  For example, I’m sure that there is noting at all sinister about that large

The great thing about the Joker is that he’s basically whatever the story needs him to be. Criminal mastermind, unhinged lunatic, petty crook, world domination. He’s more open to interpretation than Batman.

However, without the Batman he looses so much. I just can’t really get into the character without him. The Bat

I read that whole thing in Mark Hamill’s Joker voice.

My God! That’s the amount of people in my apartment building! Or almost the entire town of Galva, Kansas!

Were this a real crisis, an actual surge of troops might be needed. However this is a fake crisis so they only need .009% of the population of New York City.
