I had never heard of this. Thanks. It’s amazing.

“Greed is good. Greed works.” That was what I see as the moment that screwed over America. The Boomers who thought Gordon Gekko, a man named after a lizard because Oliver Stone is not subtle, was the hero of the movie are still running the country today.

Her redemption is something I actively root for. Her trash stage mom basically sold her to Hollywood. Whenever someone tried to intervene on her behalf her “parents” would take her away and hand her back over to enablers and exploiters who would milk her for a quick buck because money now is better than money and

If there is any decency in the Public Radio world she was interviewed by Linda Holmes, who has made the advocacy of Hallmark Christmas Movies her passion project.

Back in my day depraved billionaires would go to a hostel and torture attractive college students themselves, or pick up a gun hunt kidnaped people on a private island. At worst they’d create an aren to watch their captives battle to the death in person and not through some fancy-pants darkweb setup.

These so-called

ASOUE is stuck in the curious space of having the simplified logic of children’s stories and the world-weary cynicism of a sneering adolescent. It’s a combination that’s fun to visit, but three seasons is an awful long time to live there.

It’s not quite a career destroyer for him. It is, though, the type of film that makes people realize his standard schtick is out of gas. After this and The House people might not trust him at the top of the poster any more. He’ll need to be in an ensemble like Daddy’s Home Two or a proven IP.

Very sarcastic. Without a Clue is wonderful.

I mean thats just a crazy original premise that has never been done before. Maybe it’s just too much for some people to buy into.

Is there really anything new to be mined from a Holmes and Watson comedy? Without a Clue and some Daffy Duck and Porky Pig cartoons do a great job with the “Watson is the real genius” trope, while Don Knotts and Tim Conway did the “bother are dopes” thing in The Private Eyes. They Might Be Giants and The Private Life

Look at the names. Chappell, Gervais, Seinfeld, Rock. These guys were in their prime 10-20 years ago. Those people who were in their 20's then are now 35-50 and have much more disposable income, so they can demand more money. It’s basically like a legacy touring act.

It’s the same with the touring music groups. Sure

And gets in the neighborhood of $700 for orchestra seats. The lowest prices are $87. People who remember him in his 80's and 90's prime are now in their late 40's and early 50's. Many of them have the disposable income to do this.

And, hey, good for him.  Cash in.

She is underrated as a director. The leap in quality between her first film, Jumpin’ Jack Flash. and second, Big, is epic.

I once got into a lot of trouble because refused to go to my Saturday morning bowling league because I wanted to watch that show.  Superfriends, breakfast (no tv while we eat) Fonz, Laverne and Shirley, Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner, Spider-man.  Man, animation in the 80's was... just awful.  Dear lord.  Outside of the Muppet

If you didn’t like Arrow or Flash before you won’t like them now. LoT has gone weird and is a lot of fun. It starts getting there in the second half of the second series and by the end of the third series it’s absolutely nuts.

Considering the way the reviewer framed the Howlin’ Commandos I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know who they are or that they debuted during the Birmingham Civil Rights Campaign in 1963.  Being integrated and charging into battle was the point, and a definite political statement by Marvel.

The DC TV shows have been throwing serious shade at Snyder’s Superman this week. In their big showcase crossover the Good Superman fought an Evil Superman who tries to snap the neck of The Flash. Good Supes pointed that the Evil one doesn’t know what it means to be Superman and will never be Superman. The whole

Weezer’s cover: Bad in all the wrong ways, with the exception of Weird Al’s 20 second accordion solo in the video.

Pitbull’s cover: Bad in all the right ways, including the picture of Aquaman. However it lacks Weird Al doing an accordion solo.

So, in conclusion, I’m torn.

Especially Ray. He stood up for a Dhark, the shapeshifter, and many others. He’s had his losses too and never went that far.  It goes against his nature.  In general this episode was a bit of a misfire for me.

For me that was the one thing that was almost too much.  In my mind I kind of treated it as “alternate covers” for each chapter of a comic, but it didn’t really work for me.
