My 1998 GTI 2.0 liter. Manual trans of course. It wasn't fast but wasn't too slow, had plenty of space inside, was a fun handling car, great in the snow and gave me little hassle. I wound up trading it in after one year and 8,000 miles for a MkIV GTI which turned out to be the most horrid piece of unreliable shit…
