I tried a formula of adapalene and benzylperoxide, but my skin couldn't handle it. It would become too inflamed before it could do anything. Do you think adapalene on its own is not that irritating/as good as retin-a?

Yup yup yup! But what's annoying is that retin-a isn't available in the UK anymore. I've had to use a lotion of tretinoin mixed with erythromycin in a solution of ethanol, which makes me think that it's not going to work properly. I'm pretty sure it's not as effective as Retin-A.
