Many Latinas/Latinos on TV who aren’t “stereotypical” looking don’t have their ethnicity showcased on the shows, I’ve noticed (with the exception of Vergara but I think it’s because of her accent).

I know this is uber late but I was perusing Jane the Virgin articles...Jane is Venezuelan and Mexican, and her mom and grandma are both fully Venezuelan. However, Gina and the actresses who play her mom and grandma are all boricua.
