I’m enjoying the cooler weather, but then i remember it’s because my state is covered with smoke from an unprecedented fire season.  While hiding in my room with an air purifier I’ve been replaying Half-Life 2 tho, and that reminds me the skies could be worse!

I think cost of cartridges probably had a lot to do with it. Game code and assets can be somewhat reused, and development teams still gain experience when a game is cancelled.  Cartridges could be pretty expensive tho, and that’s a good place to cut losses if they thought a game wouldn’t do well.

I hope all the employees get snapped up by better companies. I’ve worked for enough startups to know how much damage one primadonna dev can do. It’s no fun.

I don’t think we’ll really be able to speculate until the arm macs are released, but I’m hoping it’ll support booting unsigned code some way or another. I’d love to see Linux or FreeBSD running on the new arm macs.

The original Harvest Moon was for SNES. The GBA had Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (boy lead) and More Friends of Mineral Town (girl lead). They were their own separate games and didn’t use the town or characters from the SNES version

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town makes me soooooooo happy. The GBA versions were my favorite in the series, and I’m glad they’re combining both versions into one game. I think it’s a no brainer on switch, but I hope the PC release helps expand the audience.
