You’re right, there’s no way any track or sanctioning body would ever allow a track car to run without a windshield. I’m so STUPID. God, what an idiot. It’s like I never researched this, or discussed it with anyone who knows anything about racing. It’s almost like I wasn’t ever on the board of directors of an SCCA

You’re kinda in over your head.

but I would absolutely make an exception for this fuckstick...”

Viewing it in slow motion, I estimate he had two seconds to deal with it, at most. If he wasn’t looking just in the right spot when it came into view, probably less. Then add in that it was bouncing around, and he was not on a particularly sharp handling motorcycle, and it would be pretty difficult to avoid this.

Hs saying that because you are building the car in your garage using tools secured from Harbor Freight while the render is a drawing. See the difference? I assume the final weight you quote is without a driver?

I’m not with you on that last thought. That wheel was spinning, and could have gone any direction. The truck on his right had him boxed, and who knows what vehicle was on his left. Hitting it straight-on is probably safer than hitting it at an angle. I’m not a motorcycle rider, but I suspect dodging that was a lot

Put yourself in the same situation as this guy and you would’ve hit the wheel too. Not only is this obstacle completely unexpected, but there wasn’t even enough time to process it and make a decision on what inputs to give to the bike. The only real option was to hit it.

I’d put the likelihood of it looking like that render at approximately 0%, but it is cool that you are trying. Make sure you can pass the broomstick test with whatever rollover protection you have.

I need some of the drugs she’s on — pure, uncut delusional Floridium.

Times like this??? I was having lunch with my cousin down in Florida and, out of the blue with no prompting at all (and talking music, mind you), she inserts... “I mean, we have the greatest governor in history.” Normally, she’s a pretty rational person, but she has a real obsession with Facebook.

The dipshits behind this stupid misogynistic hackery should have to walk the plank. They won’t be missed.

This is just ridiculous. It’s easily proven that she had nothing to do with the Ever Given incident. It’s times like this where I think social media does more harm than good... Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is out there shouting with “authority” about something they know nothing about and wrecking other peoples lives in

It's awful and I'd absolutely carry it if I could buy a $20 version at Target

It depends on the car but a 2000 Civic Si would work just fine using this method. I see a few other comments stating the exact opposite of this, but I’ve been driving 90's Japanese 4-bangers for a decade and they are all capable of taking off from a standstill in this manner. I’ve taught plenty of people using this

That man lives in your head rent free, doesn’t he?

I think “Jetta” had more to do with it than anything ;)

That is easy to say on the internets, but if it was my 80K check I'd damn sure get exactly what I wanted.

It doesn't matter what "world" you are from. If you are spending that much $ on something, you expect it to be delivered to spec. Getting the color wrong is not a trivial mistake.

Yeah, I actually feel like he's being completely reasonable here. If I paid what he paid for not just the car but what's marketed as an "individual experience," it damn well better be right. And he's completely spot on about not swapping the interiors- maybe the whole "it not being original" is a little far fetched
