Yeah give me a storyless Mario game over a wannabe film David Cage game or Uncharted any day of the week.

Not sure why, but I’ve always thought of this guy as the Willy Wonka of games. I wonder who will take over for him once he is done with the industry, or god forbid, passes away?

Yeah, totally could’ve been fucking with them. Similar reason why my Mom was named Myron instead of Myra.

Ive never thought of that ever! Thanks!

Yep - im in the UK so sometimes its pronounced with an “o” - baristas at starbucks are particularly amusing!

If you knock of the first letter it’s “All Man”. I’d say that’s pretty masculine. ;)

Is the uproar actually coming from the Chinese and Japanese fans of these franchises or is it coming from the overly sensitive Americans that think they need to worry about everyone else’s reaction?

Being male naturally my parents gave me a name that sounds like a fish...Salman.

Adjusting cultural norms takes a lot of people actually adjusting their beliefs and behavior, so I’d say start there. I would just caution against calling any of it “innate.” Thereis too much cultural diversity in the world for us to pin down what exactly is prescribed innately rather than socially constructed.

I wonder if there is any correlation between those who stereotype gender with those who stereotype other elements of non-traditional societial, racial and

I went to high school with twins named Shannon and Stacy. Those dudes were some tough hombres.

What controversy? The Japanese have already weighed in, they said they don’t give a care.

We still talking about this? Having been born in Asia, I can honestly say I don’t give a fuck just as long as the film is good. Most Asian people I know don’t give a fuck either. Someone please explain to me why privileged white guys are fighting an Asian battle that does not need to be fought?

I thought GitS was inspired by Hong Kong and the famed Kowloon Walled City? Doesn’t that make it extremely Cantonese?

did “the japanese people” confirm this notion of having something taken away from them? like the publisher Kodansha for example? nerds are so short-sighted sometimes...

That’s what I thought you meant. You are not that annoying.

Additionally, the article was written Saturday afternoon about Washington DC event and we are being told it was born Sunday.
