That first rock chip is going to make you hate your life.
“Hi, I’m Andrew Collins, and I have DirecTV.”
These aren’t Hellcats, they are the “normal” SRT 392s with 490hp.
I got my wife a ‘15 Patriot with the 2.4, UConnect and 3 years light maintenance for 15k. Grocery getter, round Jeep headlights which she loves and the motor isn’t even close to gutless with the normal automatic (non-CVT), it fits the bill perfectly.
The thing is, there’s nothing really wrong with the platform, it’s just something people think is fun to repeat. And as pointed out here, they fixed the interior and the CVT. The 2.4 still leaves something to be desired, but nothing in this segment at this price is going to light your socks on fire. This vehicle is…
So your basis of this new Wrangler pickup selling well, which would presumably be smaller than the competition, is because Hyundai is going to try to sell a car-based pickup, a la the El Camino and Brat? Sorry, only card carrying LGBT members would even have the desire to drive an Elentra pickup, let alone actually…
Wranglers are selling like hot cakes to everyone. Hell, even my 56 year old mom daily drives an Unlimited Rubicon with the manual. Trucks are also selling like hot cakes. Jeep won’t be able to build them fast enough.

They truckin better.

Yes please.
I hope they call it the Scrambler.
Please have a crew cab and a V8...please have a crew cab and a V8...or a TurboDiesel!!!
A former boss LOVES Jeeps. I mean, loves them. He’s the type of guy who will rebuild a transmission in the middle of nowhere (and he’s done that). Goes off-road all the time in his Wrangler. He’s got his aftermarket heavy-duty winch, so he’s well prepared. Loves adventure, and that’s not a shock since he’s from…
200,000 vehicles/year is a low production vehicle? Relative to what, the F150?
I can’t help but hear the ‘JK’ model and think Jeep is apologizing for a bad joke. “Here’s our latest model for you. All the good stuff ou’ve loved and even great gas mileage! Just Kidding! You buy now.”
Because people keep buying it.
My Wrangler had just over 1,000 miles on it when I scooped it up, and enough rattles to make you think it’d been around the Earth a couple times.
