Right, I was talking about prior years....apparently me saying that part in my head didnt help you at all, haha.
I think if you go back and add up the Silverado and Sierra totals they outsold Ford a few years ago...and for a few years...again, too lazy to look it up, but the have outsold the F-150 combined.
Right? I'm too lazy to look it up, but I know GM has outsold the F Series several times. Does Ford get to say its the #1 selling Nameplate? Yes. But actual vehicle? No.
You leave my chrome alone!
A drag racing engine's horse power is measured by sound!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW IS IT NOT ON THIS LIST!!!!!!!!!!
Seen that as well!
...so could you or could you not hear him screaming 'Murica as he drove by?
Hi Andrew,
A finance guy at GM told me that the issue GM had this year was that they didnt set up the supply chain for enough Crew Cabs (aka, the ones with 4 full doors). This is the main reason you see that 3 Billion $ gap...they literally cant charge more because they have the wrong allocation of cab…
Per a reliable source at GM's PT lab in Pontiac, MI, expect 32 MPG Highway in the real world with around 22 city, again real world. This is in the 2x4 version, not driving like Hoonigan.
You heard this first from ME!
Phase 1: Tiny Car
Phase 2: 350 Chevy
Phase 3:???????????????????
Phase 4: PROFIT!!!!!!!!
Neutral: How would you sell the Viper? More power? More options? More advertising?
Gas cant go back up to $4.00 a gallon with the increasing availability/cost effectiveness of alternative fuel vehicles. When you "do the math", plug in hybrids (Volt/Prius/Fusion, etc) are economically feasible from an initial cost recovery perspective within 5 years once gas goes above around $3.50/gallon.
I feel like this is the best "Jalop" car from the last decade.....Manual, Wagon, Supercharged V-8, 'Murican, Fuck Yeah!
Yeah, I hope someone got fired for deciding to destroy those. Should have been used in marketing to portray the message "Look! Chrysler is cool, we sorta made turbine cars!"
Not sure, I never met the man, too young. My Mother-In-Law isnt keen on cars, so I'll have to bug the F-I-L for the details.....to be continued!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes!!!! He passed long before I met my wife. He was an engineer for Chrysler for 30+ years, retired in the early 90's?
Anywho, I mentioned this article to my Mother-In-Law and she specifically described being dropped off to school in the turbine car, and mentioned how they drive most of them off a cliff once Chrysler…
Riding a bus at MSU during a blizzard with a crazy-ass old man driver was the greatest/most terrifying experience ever. I was the last one on and we were the only ones on the road.
The 2.7L wont get close to the EPA numbers in the real world. The turbos will be constantly spooling everytime you go to pass or speed up from a light.
