I once had a coupon code about 6-7 years back that gave me 50% off EVERYTHING plus a free chicken sides box at Domino’s, which was a 10-minute round walk away at the time. It was supposed to be one-use promo.

Kept on working for around a year and a half after that. The reason why? Because I kept quiet and didn’t abuse

If I didn’t know about all the behind-the-scenes stuff, I wouldn’t even notice it was new voice actors in that trailer. A little part of me was secretly hoping they’d jump out of a portal with radically different voices and go: “Well, guess we sound like this now.”

I like to think this all happened due to me, as I saw the mod in question just after it was uploaded, laughed at the crybaby who made it, and reported it. Within an hour, it was gone.

Damn, I started reading Kotaku in the latter half of the 2000s and it *is* weird seeing that staff photo now. I’m still following the site because things change, of course they do. But with yourself leaving, it’s the last link to university-life Kotaku gone and now I’m firmly in sensible middle-age life mode.

If any of

It’s not about creating the new characters for Seasons, it’s about having to do that for getting -any- progression in the paid Battlepass. There’s no way to progress it on the Eternal servers, and that wasn’t communicated properly by Blizzard before people put their pre-orders in for the more expensive editions of the

Oggdo Bogdo had nothing on the damn Space Goats in the mountain areas in the first game. When I was mopping up at the end of the game with full upgrades and multiple bars of health, they were still kicking my behind.

Hot Take Time: Hexen is better than Doom, and Hexen II is better than Quake.

A genuine Hexen III would have made my day in the past, but I believe most of Raven Software’s team from that point in history are no longer with them and went to form Human Head Studios.

I think the point of the last two is that they are so banal and non-newsworthy, that there’s nothing there to make a comic strip about.

Holy moly, I may actually work out how to actually play this now, despite having owned the physical copy for about eight years. The last time my friends and I tried, it took us six hours to get through three turns, and we still had no clue if we were doing it right.

Oh my goodness, no. I get so much personal enjoyment out of character-tweaking (Behave) that I can spend at least an hour or more creating a new one every time there’s a new game, or when I go back to an old favourite.

If I don’t know exactly what something does during a game, it’s something I can find out. If

“Ah yes, Reapers”

“AH YES, R-APERS”

“...give it five more years of work”

JFK Shot First.

(It’s actually from the following album, A Day At The Races)

EDIT: Oh wait, the song is actually You’re My Best Friend, which *is* on A Night At The Opera.

I dread going back nearly ten years older, and finding out I now have the reflexes of a dead badger.

I remember back in my CS:Source days, I was banned from using the USP by my friends if we were playing friendly matches against each other. Don’t know why I was so good with it, but I wasn’t going to complain.

With some smart movement and quick-fire usage of the time-device, I managed to get through the entire chapter without killing a single human opponent, thereby not potentially disrupting the timeline.

Robots I figured were fair game however.

Yeah, it’s a non-ideal solution. Thankfully, it’s only a handful of games that don’t allow the Media Player. Just annoying that it’s one of the ones I’m ploughing through at a time of year when a bunch of new albums get released en masse!

This is what Spotify on my phone is for. Not a perfect solution unless you hook it up to some speakers, but it means I can listen to new albums/podcasts whilst playing.

Nope, they have the exact same behaviour as in this mod. They notice you and come up to you, but never actually attack. (Which breaks the game in one sequence, meaning you need to switch it off)

...or just activate the console in-game and click the ‘God Mode’ box which does this exact same thing. It was the only way I could get through it last month.
