I just finished Fierce Kingdom by Gin Phillips, which was quite good. It’s about a mother and her 4-year-old son who are trapped in a zoo during an active shooter situation. I wasn’t super thrilled with the wrap up, but it was still a good read. My only other real complaint is that the kid seemed way too articulate

I thought they were chanting “F—- you!” but I wasn’t listening super carefully.

Nothing on the dude jumping onstage at Britney Spears’ show last night? God, she looked TERRIFIED. I unironically stan her so I felt terrible when I saw the video.

I read somewhere that Beyonce’s dad used to make her sing while running up a hill in heels so she could dance and sing at the same time. No idea if it’s true, but if so, that’s pretty badass!

Say what you will about Britney, but when I saw her in Vegas, girl was frickin’ MOVING. Granted, she wasn’t singing live, but I guess maybe these days singers have to choose one or the other?

Just speaking for myself here, but if I fell asleep with an array of crystals on my bed, I would wind up kicking one into the wall.

I apologize for responding to my own post, but I have to say, Google images brought up some CHOICE pictures for “crystals Spencer Pratt”. They are bringing me much joy on an otherwise wretched day.

If the “crystal lady” was unavailable, I’m sure Spencer Pratt would have been glad to help.

Mimi Pond is a treasure and I would like to second her recommendation of My Favorite Thing Is Monsters. I read it a couple of months ago, and holy crap is it good. It’s about a strange girl named Karen who identifies more with monsters than anything/one else, and when her upstairs neighbor (a Holocaust survivor) is

No, though that’s a good one! It said something like “The biggest lesson Game of Thrones has to teach us is how much it sucks to be a horse.”

In my opinion, cheesecake and donuts are best left simple, but I’ll make an exception for this. Jealous of Canadians for MANY reasons right now; the poutine donut is one.

I love CLAMP’s artwork, but wow, those are some...interesting body proportions. Gorgeous outfit!

Tomoko from Watamote. Costume would be pretty simple (I can’t sew), and I could easily accessorize it with a stuffed cat and a video game controller. I already have the eye bags/dark circles, and this character is so like me in personality it’s scary. I’ve never seen a better example of social anxiety in pretty much

“So they’ll take a young, beautiful girl—16, 15 and others—and they slice them and dice them with a knif”

If he was being deliberately over the top or funny, I could have excused it, but nope...he was serious. It was almost a relief when the prick ghosted me.

It was, actually! 1993, to be exact.

I met her many years ago when she was receiving an award from my university and I had to interview her for the paper. She had a diamond ring that was roughly the size of an emu’s egg and a bodyguard that looked straight out of a Dick Tracy comic. At one point, I was scribbling furiously on my notepad and the cap of my

I like Simple Grace because it almost always has Jesus Leto on the cover.

Whitney Houston was MEDIOCRE? Come the fuck on, Madonna.
