Eh...I know the mortgage wasn’t paid off that fast but you’re right about the other stuff. Sadly, it took tRump getting elected for me to see exactly how out of it he is.

That sucks even worse because the FBI is an agency expected to work for free. Dude’s gotta drive Lyft even after working a full shift. My colleague’s husband is an agent who still has to go to work every day, and put himself in danger on a drug smuggling task force, for no money right now. They will get backpay but…
Saw a bumpersticker the other day that said, “Your ‘fair share’ shouldn’t come out of MY WALLET.”
What’s the point in suspending him? To derail a high-achieving student’s career?
It’s real interesting that the student handbook is that specific.
Also as a side note a school’s handbook doesn’t over ride the law as easy as common sense. I see a court fight coming and say the law is on the kids side.
So the cafeteria worker who took the bill is also being suspended? Maybe dismissed. I mean, he/she had it in their hand, thus both receiving and possessing it.
go on to bitching about the deficit and
we’ll all have to pretend to40% of the country will believe them.
And I know this because that’s what they did with George W. Bush. Literally within a week of becoming a lame duck, you had Rush Limbaugh going on and on about how tired he was to carry water for George W. Bush, when Bush so obviously was not, and never had been, a true conservative.
That’s exactly it. You can’t betray a principle that you never held, and the only principle that Republicans care about (and a slowly-dwindling majority of Democrats, I must unfortunately add) is power. Maybe at some point Lindsey Graham was a true believer in some principle other than Lindsey Graham; I don’t know…
So he’s a spineless, weasel-y, craven opportunist who has no ideas of his own and kowtows to whatever the popular leader de jour says?
Have had discussions with my wife bordering on arguments when I say things like this. She’s convinced that a lot of this stuff is some kind of Russia/blackmail/conspiracy thing that just needs to be blown open.
THANK YOU! I made the same argument myself the other day. He’s aligned himself this much with Orange Yeller because he can read poll numbers and Donald is very popular with Republicans. If anyone wants a future in the GOP (at least for now) they have to fully and loudly support the Hamberderler.
I was talking about the shutdown with my father the other day - he’s a retired government employee and a Trump supporter (gah). He actually said the shutdown is no big deal because “[employees] will get paid eventually.” The one time he was stuck in a shutdown himself, he had to go to work unpaid while others were…
I’m a lowly contractor. Our pay and benefits have not kept pace with the federal workers that we work alongside and who in many cases, have far less seniority than we do. We were already forced to take days without pay for the Bush funeral and Christmas Eve, because those “holidays” were not part of the contract. The…
Exactly- stories are circulated on right wing media that basically say, “See? It’s not so bad.”
My Lyft driver to the airport was an FBI agent with a sick kid. How much does that fucking suck?
Here’s your story,
I love working for free if it means I get to own the Libs! I’ll work tirelessly on behalf of our fearless leader if it means giving our country the protection is deserves.

Just a reminder that there are millions of Americans (Republicans) who firmly believe that millions of Americans (Liberals) actively support open…
I am not a government worker. I sell IT equipment for a living. My two best clients work on contract with many agencies of the federal government though. This is where a majority of their spending comes from. One of them has now been cut down to working only 5 hour days and obviously neither are purchasing anything.…
