My favorite is when, after pestering you to talk about why you’re vegan, non-vegans recoil in horror at your “audacity to shove your beliefs down people’s throats.”

I just read that it takes 1 gallon of water per pound in comparison to 3.5 gallons per pounds for tomatoes.

You’re aware that the majority of those soy beans are used to feed cattle, right?

This study is a bit questionable. Not in results, those are clear, but in practice. This is more a study in land management theory than practical use. It solely examines land production rates, specifically “per capita land requirements and potential carrying capacity.” We are already farming things in locations that

I’m no preachy vegan but when someone asks why I am vegan I don’t lie and tell them that it’s because it’s ‘good for [me]’. I tell them that I think that the industry treatment of animals is unethical. Of course people don’t like to hear that something they do is wrong, but that’s not a good reason not to tell them.

I’m an omnivore (used to be an ovo-lacto vegetarian) and this headline makes pretty much zero sense. The results only work (as stated in the article) IF we don’t use factory farming, which we do. Also using available land to make food is great and all, but cows pollute the air a lot (methane, ammonia).

According to the chart, everyone being vegan misses out on 70 million people worth of extra food from lacto-vegitarian, but it still gains us 330 million, which I’d consider pretty great. Pretty misleading title.

Okay?

I do wonder why. And it pisses me off, believe me, particularly when there were some excellent alternatives. She’s everything wrong with the political establishment. She’s in bed with corporations, and I don’t believe a word she says about cracking down on Wall Street. I have full faith that a Hillary Presidency will

You should wonder why Hillary Clinton is the best your party could come up with.

Dead horse? Say that to the people dying in Iraq to this very day, you privileged, ignorant twat.

You’re confused. I never said it was okay that Trump supported it.

So it’s bad that Trump supported the Iraq war, but not a big deal that Clinton did so, even though she was a Senator at the time, and so her vote actually counted? Okay.

It was obvious that there were no weapons. Except most people didn’t listen to the experts who knew what they were talking about.

I see this phenomenon with my male students ALL THE TIME.

I think you’re spending too much time there, homes.

Then stop going there. Jesus Christ.

Just because it’s the norm doesn’t mean we should accept it. This shit can be changed, and it should be. This kind of stress makes food workers want to spit in your food or wipe their ass with it. Improved working conditions benefits everyone.

It would help just so much if you would look at a situation for what it is instead of What It Could Represent if you just changed...every relevant detail.

Fuck that window and fuck...most of the comments here. Really so bothered that somebody would break a window. Ohhhhhh nooooooooo not a window, we’ll just post clever memes until racism dies of shame.
