This would be the biggest fuck you possible for African-Americans. Such an idiotic idea.

Myself, and every other Bernie supporter I know personally all voted for Clinton in the general. She still lost. And I am absolutely astonished that somehow, with all the other factors in play, that so many people are blaming Bernie and his supporters for her loss. You are unhinged.

Relentlessly mocking your opponent is also not a winning strategy.

I supported Bernie in the primary but I thought it was downright shameful how he continued his primary campaign well past viability just to appease his rabid supporters.

Oh for fuck’s sake, third party candidates stole more votes from the GOP than they did the Democrats, just like Nader in 2000. But the Democrats refuse to acknowledge the possibility that THEY fucked up, so it’s time for a desperate search for scapegoats.

There was a much bigger difference between Bernie and Hillary beyond mere genitalia. Bernie ran a populist, anti-establishment campaign, while Hillary, fairly or not, was the embodiment of “establishment neoliberalism” and that, I think, depressed turnout.

“That kind of liberal arrogance is exactly why hes in the white house.”

Not to mention Bernie going out many times imploring his supporters to turn their attention to supporting Hillary and explicitly saying why they shouldn’t offer support or encouragment to Trump.

look how can we blame the campaign when there haven’t been any contemporary examples of extraordinarily run campaigns that leaned heavily on ground game, grassroots tactics

I lost my phone once and next thing I know it had denied an African American family housing and refused to sell a cake to a gay couple.

In front of a lit up “STOP” sign no less. Not that these fools should need a sign from the universe to reconsider their actions.

You know racism’s gotten bad when male cheerleaders think they have the right to make fun of anyone else.

Marine Le Pen is going to outlaw Christianity? Gosh, it sure took long enough, but what a courageous stand!

France has a history of being quite racist/anti Islamic. If memory serves, they have or attempted to have veils banned, and were at the epicentre of the burkini policing this summer.

France has over 5 million Muslims. France has, to put it lightly, a troubled relationship with its Muslim citizens (I think both sides bear some responsibility for that, but from a potential terrorists perspective, France has pretty much relegated Muslims to 2nd class citizens).

A lot of reasons, but the TL;DR reasons are a) French history of aggression in the Middle East in North Africa, and b) longstanding social and political marginalization of ethnic and religious minorities that makes those populations easy pickings for those who wish to radicalize them.

It’s semantics. My mom says she’s diabetic. My sister say’s she’s celiac. I personally have no problem saying I’m bipolar. As long as there is a conversation about it I’m not going to get picky about terminology.

I have bipolar illness as well. I know what you mean, but please let’s stop using the term he/she is bipolar. They have bipolar illness. You wouldn’t call someone with cancer, “he’s cancer.” He/she has cancer. I know this seems captious, but with all the stigma placed on mental illness, it’s possible to help others

Well, I called for a mental health wellness check when my neighbor started doing things like screaming Bon Jovi lyrics in the street in the middle of the night and chopping up his front porch with an ax. Your mileage may vary, but that was my experience.
