Based off the three articles I read and what little we know I feel safe with my 1000 comment.

If their lives depended on you making the correct decision. Less than 1000 or more than 1000.

Take a wild guess.

If you made an educated guess, which is likely all we can do at this point we can safely assume it is at least 1000. You know that is true.

Knowing what little we do know we can make an educated guess

You didn’t upset me, you annoyed me. You annoyed me by calling me an ignorant jerk, and you also annoyed me many more times with your baseless speculation and your red herrings and your vague language.

Oh, and I’m still waiting for you to show that all Syrian refugees are children, and that food prices in that region have not changed since October 2014. Surely you’re about to address both of these points in an upcoming post. I look forward to it.

There is no point in either one of us guessing, because we have absolutely no idea how this worked. Any guess that either of us puts forward will be meaningless; therefore, your assertion about “1000s more” is baseless. So just give it up already.

Huh. So you began with a desperate, doomed attempt to win the argument with facts. Then when that didn’t work out, you resorted to name-calling alone. Then when that didn’t work out, you blamed your state college.

Ah yes, you’re the one who *knows* what it costs to feed a Syrian refugee based on American emergency beef, and I’m the ignorant one. You’re the one who criticized strangers despite no evidence of them having done any harm, and I’m the jerk.

I didn’t bother to dig deeper because I know the numbers are not going to jump that much more.

Ah, so now you’ve moved on to pure speculation? I’m not surprised that you’ve given up so quickly on pretending to do “research,” but I am surprised that you’ve progressed from vague phrases such as “nothing burger” to an actual (though, as always, unsubstantiated) estimate.

No, you responded to me, and your response is worthless anyway:

  1. 25 cents a day is almost certainly an average - this webpage doesn’t say otherwise.

I think it costs more than 1/1000 of what this couple paid for their wedding.

Yeah, exactly. So here’s a guideline for future interactions: stick to examples that are relevant to the situation under discussion. If you can’t substantiate your point with a single relevant example, just keep your thoughts to yourself.

I am sorry if I sound harsh. I am just very familiar with the damage charity does if not properly thought out.

These people are in refugee camps - they need more than one meal, or one day’s worth of meals. Feeding someone emergency beef stew three times a day over a long period will lead to major health problems. Also, the fact that this stew is available in the USA hardly means that sufficient quantities are available on the

The cost of food is very very low.
