I’m a recovering picky eater, and the winning combination seems to be boredom (with the same dull foods you’ve been eating) and shame (in front of people you want to impress).

Didn’t some brand (maybe DKNY) have a whole fracas where they used a gazillion Humans of New York photos without permission for their store displays? It was a pretty blatant copyright violation.

I bought a relatively-nice looking warm coat last year, and hot damn if that faux fur-trimmed hood doesn’t make the difference. It’s like enveloping the back 3/4ths of your head in a warm bath.

Fwiw the fleece-and-raincoat combo served me perfectly well in Germany in December, especially when paired with layers and a scarf/hat/gloves.

Tbh? I’m from the Philadelphia area and I had no fucking idea about Cosby until the story blew up. The court of public depends on people knowing about the “charges” in the first place.

I think the uptick in activities and lack of summer jobs plays into that too. A lot of my peer group in the late 00's got a permit as soon as they could, but took their sweet time getting a license (myself included), and the factors ranged from “no time” to “no way to have access to a car anyway so what’s the point.”
