I’m guessing the logic is: Buyers see the quote, remember the scene and have fond memories, decide to buy the film.

Yeah I read it for the first time as an adult and thought it nailed certain aspects of adolescence.  It was really well done.

Well seems hard not to see this film as about the current state of the film industry.

It’s the natural progression for sure. Mad men another example. Some shows have either exceptionally good (Breaking Bad), bad (Lost), or polarizing (Sopranos) endings that stand out though.

From what I read, seems like it’s right around The Wire territory in terms of consensus. Final season(s) are the weakest, some of the plotting got a bit too outlandish. Ending at least wasn’t atrocious.

Even 5 years ago, when he was booed out of the WWE.

They are great movies for critics cause they are fun to talk/think about afterward.  They are not that much fun to actually watch.

My intuition is both Godzilla and Aladdin are in trouble but I have no real base for this.

Looks like it did well with people over 25, maybe they are not as easy to estimate potential buyers cause they don’t spend all their time talking about what they are doing on social media?

I struggle to see how they could show horrors of war for Jägerstätter, given the time/setting, and have it ring true. The annexation of Austria was bloodless and war didn’t come to Austria until it was almost over.

They lost me when everyone and presumably the creators were like “Wow hopkins is a hero!” and not you know a megalomaniacal madman with a god complex.

Season 1 was also written and rewritten several times I believe. The show is a lot of classic sci-fi AI tropes that have been done to death and incoherent plotting, probably not going survive to season 4.

I did and loved it. It’s basically The Godfather I + II character arc and it was amazingly well done.

I tried watching but found it to be sadistic and deeply unpleasant.

He’s mentally ill?

And you may find yourself, living in a clickbait trap.

What is the reason there are all these live action / CGI hybrids?  Was like Paddington / Peter Rabbit / Christopher Robin a huge hit?

He’s playing his role from Casino

Womanizer?

He gave the standard PR response at the time IMO and here. We are just interpreting those words to be in good faith cause we like him and think Cernovich is a douchebag.
