I was shocked at how bad Wrinkle in Time was. It was like no one wanted to step up and let everyone know what a disaster it was turning out to be on set because its intentions were so genuine / no one wants to tell Oprah she’s embarrassing herself.

My recollection with Selma was everyone handwringing about it not doing better commercially and culturally given its IMPORTANCE.

The Walking Dead movie will do great business cause Horror movie fans will watch anything.

You just described not only every comedy show about the day’s headlines, but also Tucker Carlson / Sean Hannity / Conservative talk radio etc.  It’s what the people want, mock the other side to confirm their biases.

That’s basically where I stand, he deserves backlash for being an idiot/insensitive and not a racist.

“ keep out this sort of racist bullshit in the future.”

So that’s where Eli Roth stole that death from in his Thanksgiving trailer

The opening hints at a satiric tone IRC that the rest of the film doesn’t follow up on.

The only thing I think i laughed at were a couple of Zach Woods’s lines, which were probably improvised.  Script and characters were terrible.

She was awful in Electric Dreams:  Autofac

Hackers

I saw Rocky V and was surprised at how not terrible it was. It wasn’t nearly as good as 1-4, Balboa, Creed still.

Relevant:

I watched it due to loyalty to the Wachowskis.  I learned my lesson.

There are lots of actors/actresses for which the performance they actually won for is so bad they should revoke the statue.  WHO HAH!

They didn’t do it for woke cred, so much as because Get Out was a hit and it guarantees ink spilled about your film.

Better flow, easier for home viewer to keep up

As much I want to mock this as a cynical “woke horror” green light, I can see this being interesting.

Yeah that sounded like a nonsensical statement to me with nothing to back it up.
