It was really bad. They should remake good ideas that failed instead of good stories that succeeded more often.

Sounds feminist to me

How can you have a semi-autobiographical show about the modern dating world and NOT make an episode about that.

It happened when Netflix’s streaming option first started, Uber, and many other VC funded quests to acquire market share and build a platform that controlled all of market X’s traffic.

Part of it is anti-tech company arrogance, the CEO seemed to think he was some visionary and it is amusing to see that fail.

It’s the name, it’s sick.

The Canadian TV show “The Newsroom” (not that one) had the best version of this character.

It really makes you think, “why the hell am I listening to this man?

If the show requires watching multiple language shows to solve some puzzle I’m out.

Not everyone that commits suicide suffers from mental illness.  Bourdain suffered from addiction issues but afaik he did not show any signs of mental illness.

Hugh Jackman too. It’s not just Cruise though, it’s the James Bond formula. It’s been a winning one for 50 years.

Don’t care too much about the superheroes teaming up, but Disney’s Netflix competitor might be amazing if they have their entire film library available.

Why? Some VCs could have paid for your movies for a few months if you had joined.

Reddit has a bunch of users that donate countless hours to moderate.

There’s probably some system in place to automatically remove based on number of flags. Do you think AVclub has someone on call 24 hours a day to remove abusive troll posts?

Got it, but I meant just when he started writing Episode I he had an idea how II and III would go right?  Supporting your idea that it’s not important for everything to be sorted out from the beginning (since the original trilogy is so much better than the prequels).

No I thought Lucas had at least Anakins three picture arc planned from the beginning, it just sucked.

And the prequels were all planned out right?

Yeah thats usually the way things go. There were also some culture war / feminism v. patriarchy battle lines that were drawn and it takes some time for those to go away and allow a fair assessment of the film similar to the Ghostbusters remake.  In both cases it all seems so silly with distance.

Well I also was just generally bored and didn’t care what happened. The casino planet thing was as bad as the set pieces in the prequels for example and eats up a ton of screentime.
