It's always informative to actually look at what the most popular songs were for any musical time period you hold in high esteem. Not everyone was listening to The Beatles / Rolling Stones / Led Zeppelin etc.

Lou Pearlman
That just means the propaganda didn't work on you.
In the future, the only way we will learn who is famous is due to articles about how they have said something offensive.
This is a confusing/terrible headline. The headline is that the "women gone wild" genre should shake things up, and the article is about how we should make more female centric comedies that aren't "women gone wild" movies. So we should shake up the genre by exploring alternative genres?
I don't recall much else of it honestly.
Both sound dreadful
What's a DVD?
First day of camp was bad except for the plotline featuring Elizabeth Banks. Everything else didn't really work.
Why does he say he's finished?
It's a shame it's such an unfunny joke
I'm on the fence right now as to whether it's "good." Eventually I may just skip over those 4 tracks and think of it as an EP and at that point, well it's new music that I enjoy so I will enjoy it.
You've never found someone smug and been annoyed by it for a "clever" joke or art piece? It's possible for anti-intellectualism to be bad and for some intellectuals to be pompous windbags.
About time we brought some Chinese films stateside for a proper release.
That was years ago, I imagine pitchfork is a very different website now. I bet the score is decided by committee and reviewer actually has relatively little say over the number at this point. At least for big releases / any number over 8.
They already got nailed with a 6 pointer
The Suburbs > Funeral >> Reflektor > Neon Bible >>>> Everything Now
I still love Reflektor but it didn't age as well as I hoped. Supersymetry also doesn't belong on the album.
I don't see that at all. Sky Blue Sky was about adding Nels Cline's guitar playing and seeing where that took the band. This is about offputting genre experiments if anything. Sandinista! or U2-Pop seems a more appropriate comparable to me (depending on how favorably you view those experiments).
I don't know I think they want to be art school cool like Talking Heads were. The promotion for this album seemed like a desperate attempt to be clever / seen as clever. I basically tried to ignore it best I could cause it was coloring my opinion of them negatively.
