Netflix has a lot more misses than hits for sure.

Worse
I was pleasantly surprised by this. Agree with the bulk of it.
I really hope the new Star Trek series will do this.
He was probably just being diplomatic, not wanting to point out that superhero movies are juvenile shite.
I'll see it on Netflix
Jean Grey
I've long wanted Atlas Shrugged to be adapted to an X-Men comic with Magneto as John Galt and Xavier as Dagny Taggert. The more I think about this, it must exist in some form somewhere right? Even if it's just slash fiction.
Well the correct term is No Holds Barred but your version is more informative.
I'm not going to pretend I had any deeper connection to these two but this sounds terrible and I feel for their loved ones.
I am Curious if there are any other examples (Yellow)
Well at this point Netflix is basically all original series
I thought the structure of the novel was gimmicky, and the cross cutting in the movie far more effective. Of course the movie also had its own gimmick with the actors playing multiple parts which was probably a mistake. Regardless loved the movie quite a bit and think it's better than the book.
I think so, but I think she's a one trick pony. Girls is a very insightful portrait of kids just out of college and the confusion/excitement/vanity/myopia surrounding that. But she doesn't seem to know much else, and in fact is now basically saying as much here.
Yeah exactly. Those first two films seem to be about our reality, and not a precious fantasy one. The explorations of those precious fantasy worlds can be interesting but lack the emotional power of Rushmore, or the humor of Bottle Rocket imo.
Rushmore is his masterpiece, his other films range from delightful to mildly annoying.
They aren't bad but I no longer wait with anticipation. I don't want to play this card cause its condescending but I will anyway:
I like Girls a lot, I like Kanye West's music a lot. Both seem to be creations of insufferable narcissists.
That's why Trump's strategy makes sense. Just never apologize for the shit you say, it gives your critics power.
I'm convinced. Lena Dunham is a conservative plant.
