I’m 5’3” tall and my kitchen still has the original 1938 cabinets. They are lower and shallower than modern cabinets. Everyone complains the counter is too low, but it’s perfect for me. I get to look across the town square from my office and see the only standing FLW designed and built hotel in the world. I can walk four blocks and see the largest collection of Prairie School architecture outside of the Chicago metro area including Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahoney Griffin’s Rock Crest/Rock

Where in MPLS is the new Nordstrom? This may be worth the drive up. I absolutely hate the MOA. Hate it. Hate. It.

Yep. That’s Mason City, Iowa. The rest of the state isn’t so bad if you don’t consider the WHO Radio studio. :)

I’m there with you.....

I watched the original series with Robin Ellis as Ross Poldark when I was in high school. The new Ross is just as hot. Holy yum yum. I’ve also read the books. Thank god my old lady brain has made all this Poldark stuff new again.

My grandfather was in the KKK, in Iowa. I’m certain that at least one ancestor has owned a slave simply because my mother’s family has been here since the 1500’s. The odds are with me.

Nonononono. Courtesy of Zombie Burger + Drink Lab in Des Moines, Iowa, this is how you do it. I give you the Freakshow. A short run burger in honor of the final episode of American Horror Story: Freakshow. A BBQ funnel cake bun, corndog fried bacon, fried cheese curds, buttered popcorn cheese sauce. Have a
