I’ve been thinking about death often. My brother died a few months ago from a heroin/benzo overdose. He turned me on to opiates, in turn I turned him onto H. Now he is dead, I blame myself, and I’m struggling to get clean. Suicide is a daily thought. I’ve struggled with alcoholism and addiction my entire life. I

A girl on my reservation just committed suicide. She just graduated from middle school and was about to start high school. I know a few people in their 20s who died either through suicide or accidents this last year.

I was a teenager in the summer of ‘93. I went to a restaurant that closed midday to apply for a job. The manager instructed me to return to the restaurant during the closure so he could interview me. I returned. He then informed me he had errands to run for the business and he would interview me on the way. I accepted

PS - I’m reading the greys and dismissing every... ahem... “person” that wants to argue that a woman carried around a 50 pound mattress in protest was a drama queen / made a false report.

Neither, just Average Jane Survivor.

The problem is not the amount of people that have made false rape allegations. The problem is that when victims attempt to get justice they’re treated with derision.

“Like how do we truly quantify the amount of false accusations vs men who got away with it?”

You’ve pretty much summarised this perfectly. I hope you’re either a lawyer or an elected Democrat.

I assume that, like me, most commenters are deciding what to believe based on the likelihood of which of them is lying. False accusations and convictions are a whole lot more rare than the legions of guilty men getting away with rape due to complaints being mishandled or minimized.

I’m not seeing where money changed hands, if that’s any consolation. It just looks like he’s dropping his suit and they’re saying it’s too bad he didn’t have a happy college experience after being accused of rape.

Huh. So, let’s see here...

I feel like there are 3 people who get tiny houses.

We used to have it all, rolling in the deep...

You know, Uncle Ronnie didn’t even acknowledge that AIDS existed until a friend and work colleague of his, Rock Hudson, died from it. Maybe People Magazine can do a story about Lana Wood, and how she was driven into homelessness by her daughter’s cancer medical bills that includes a lot of photographs of her when she

I’m very glad she was able to get a bump like that to help her. I was...no. I am in a similar situation, and I haven’t really been able to get a handle-hold at all. Bills and medical issues forcing me and my family into homelessness and motel living, we had to give up our pets, which was just...doubly awful. Like

GoFundMe is the Obamacare replacement, fyi.

A great deal of GoFundMe goes to paying medical bills. Republicans like to pretend rising medical bills were the fault of Obamacare, even though people were subject to death panels and bankruptcy in the years beforehand. Like what was dealing with an HMO like back in the 1990s? Health care costs will still be rising,

I keep going back and forth on this apology, honestly. A part of me agrees with Dee Barnes (and it’s really her and the other women whose feelings matter), but another part of me still sees him couching it in terms that relate to the effect on him and not the women. “I paid for it...” (yeah, duh.) “I have this dark

The brother isn’t as hot thou. Apparently the hotness level has a direct correlation to time spent in prison.

Charges pending for “breaking” his wife’s heart and “entering” Chloe Greens’ .......? Seriously thou, I’ve been expecting this ever since he blew up. Like Chris Rock said, “A man is only as faithful as his options”.
