I’m so heartbroken for him and his family. I loved him so much as an actor. He was so incredibly talented.

I know everyone is going to give him the praise he deserves for his iconic role as Lafayette, but I want to mention how very good he was as Shinwell on Elementary. He gave that character a depth and dignity I don’t think anyone else could have. So sad that he’s gone so soon, and we don’t get to see all the amazing

His side eye was pretty much the only thing confirming everyone on the show was nuts.

It could be argued that Lafayette was ever the only genuinely likeable character on TB, entirely because of Mr. Ellis’ immense talent and effortless charm.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

He was fantastic as Lafayette. I didn’t watch the final season, because the show he devolved into just porny dreck, by that point... but his portrayal of Lafayette never fell short, in that time. His talent was obvious.

This is a shock, and such an immense loss RIP, Nelsan. My thoughts go out

There were seasons where he was the only likeable character. His talent shined through no matter how bad the writing got.

Wow, he was so young. I’ve never seen this show, but I just looked him up and one of the first news stories that came up from before today was an interview where Ellis criticized a former co-star for quitting because that actor didn’t want to play a gay character. That’s a stand up thing to do.

There were times where he was the only likable character on that show. How sad, he was so young.

My favorite, overheard at a party in real life: “Nice shoes.” “Oh, thank you. I bought them at a little place in Boston when I was getting my Ph.D. at Harvard.”

I considered that, and is certainly possible. This guy was super shy and totally socially awkward, though, so I think it’s also possible he never caught on to the idea that this is something he can brag about. That would be too awkward.

nah, this is a thing that they do. they want you to keep asking until they have no choice but to spit it out.

So, I met a guy at a book club last month, and in the chit-chat beforehand, we talked about how his kid is just finishing up with his first year of law school (I am an attorney, 3/4 of the people in the room were either attorneys or spouses of attorneys, it was a natural topic). We went through about four rounds of

With the Big Bang theory, the top four all went to bat for the “minor” actresses when it came time for them to renew their contracts.

Good. I binged a few season of this on Netflix (I was about to go to Hawaii, I love a good crime procedural and it felt right) and Park and Kim are the reasons I kept watching. Caan and O’Laughlin have their bromance schtick but it gets old.

This makes me wonder how much Lucy Liu is being paid on Elementary compared to Jonny Lee Miller...

I love that they took a stand; I hate that they had to quit. I am hoping against hope that this gets a lot of coverage/attention, though.

These days ComicCon is comic in name only. It’s more of a movie and show convention with some comics stuffed in the corner way over there. No there. No back further. Yeah, behind the curtain. There you go. Comics!

GOOD FOR THEM! Shame on CBS and the rest of the industry for thinking this is acceptable.

Couldn’t splurge the extra 10 percent is some real horse shit cbs

Well, shit... This sucks. This was one of my fave background shows. What are their co-stars saying, if anything, about this? They need to walk and force some hands here.
