word.

as a disabled person who participates in forums for disabled people we hear a lot of stories about people murdering the disabled because they “can’t handle it anymore”--if you can’t handle it, that doesn’t give you the right to end the other person’s life, it in no way justifies murdering them.  we are always asked to

being a person who is disabled is all the experience i need to know about the potential selfishness and violence of “caregivers” when they reach their limit, thanks.  we are always told we need to have sympathy for the caregivers, never for the disabled people they murdered.  fuck that.

yeah on forums for people with disabilities we talk about these murders and how the stories covering them are always about the feelings of the killer and not the lived experience and feelings of the victim.  i’m tired of being told i need to have sympathy for people who murder the disabled.  fuck them and their

sounds like someone salty lost money on the fight. LOL

not always. it’s usually when people start to become aware that they are “losing time” and some people react to them like they are different people that they start to become aware of the alters and seek help, usually to start “re-integration”.

sexual abuse is the most common cause of DID, so i don’t see how this was “going too far.”

dude, this was unhinged.  you need some help.

sexual abuse is the most common cause of DID, so it shouldn’t have been THAT much of a surprise, or a cliche.

it’s the most common cause of DID (dissociative identity disorder, which is what elliot has), so it was no surprise but very realistic.

yeah it struck me as intentionally melodramatic and operatic in scale, which seemed appropriate to vera’s character too.

see i thought it was intentionally over the top, like operatic in scale and emotion, and that worked well.  operas are performed on stage as well, like plays.

the music made it feel more operatic to me rather than like a stage play--like the melodrama of the music was intentional.  i think it worked really well.

that was my thought.  from what i’ve read about DID, i’ve never heard of someone making their protective alter look like their abuser, so i’m not sure how a person with DID would go about confronting that alter.

wow, you really hate women eh?

add child abuser and potentially sexual predator as well.

i mean, he admitted he doesn’t even let her ride a goddamned bicycle in case it might break her hymen.  that is blatant abuse.

he doesn’t even let his daughter ride a bicycle?  that’s pretty controlling and abusive.

if your “kink” is violating the consent of others, you deserve all the shame coming your way.

i have a feeling centering himself in a conversation about abuse was a sort of unintentionally revealing of himself as probably an emotional abuser, as he took that side of the “argument” against you.
