Since when did punks become hipsters.

Cross says something racist and does it in an ugly stereotype Southern accent to boot. Geez, I wonder what a bigot hat trick would be like for him. Going after someone’s religion? Gender? No, wait, sexual preference. I can see him doing that.
Davies, I am curious to know which scene in The Green Room made you scream. For me, it was the “arm damaged” scene. It was too realistic and brutal that I let out this shudder scream.
I am getting a long lost Clone High character vibe.
Yeah, Hamlet isn’t a Game of Thrones play. It’s not supposed to be epic with cast of a thousand, huge battles and million intertwining plots. It’s a smaller character driven story. If anything, it would work better as a David Fincher movie.
Riz Ahmed is reportedly close to landing a deal with Netflix for his Hamlet adaptation and would likely play the titular role-
It’s both a revenge film and an evil curse supernatural film. The only question I was left wondering was, so was Jane Doe a witch and the people who killed her were correct to do all that to her or was her soul so tormented by what had been done to her body that she became this curse after she died. Or to put it…
I understand. And, honestly, most movies that are like this, the slasher flickers and the gore porn flick like Saw and Hostel and such don’t really scare me in movie form because like you said, there are people like that in real life. I don’t find it entertaining because I can turn on the television as see real life…
I love how they didn’t need to. Bigelow thought the audience was smart enough to pick up on the tropes; drinks blood, immortal, hard to kill, fries in sunlight, spooks animals and super strong. There was no question that they were vampires. What I love is that they didn’t have fangs. I thought it was more creepy that…
No, I haven’t. And alas, I don’t have Amazon. I’ll see if my library has it. (They have just about everything. Lucky me.) Thanks for the recommendation!
He was fantastic. I fell in love with his voice after that. He has such a soothing voice.
It’s amazing how much that transformation scene has held up. It’s the gold standard that ALL werewolf transformation scenes have since been held against. And I have yet to see one that has surpassed it.
I love I Just Don’t Feel At Home in this World Anymore. The director was the lead in Blue Ruin and is childhood friends with that film’s director. (And that director went on to do The Green Room. You can see his influence in IJDFAHITWA.) It would have been so easy to go cutesy quirky with that film. But it never went…
Let me toss in a few recommendations old and new in the Scary movies for people who are big babies.....
For supernatural, have you seen the recent The Autopsy of Jane Doe? It managed to creep me, a horror buff, out.
Maniac was the last movie that the moment I finished watching it I had to go for a walk because I was so unsettled. My skin would not stop crawling. It’s a slasher flick told from the POV of the slasher. And it’s played by Elijah Wood. I went around swearing, “What the ever living frik, Frodo?” days afterward whenever…
He is still being covered. The problem with him is he left no clear motive as to why he did it. No letter. No manifesto. No online trail by way of facebook posts or twitter rants. He is boringly bland in almost all of his life except for his gambling habits and gun collection. He blew through bank load after bank load…
How am I “fucking troll”? You sound like one of those Breitbart hiveminders where anyone who doesn’t agree with you is a “troll.”
With that logic every gang out there is a terrorist group, the mafia is a terrorist group, hell, even serial killers are terrorists because they never stop after one victim.
Still not terrorism. Terrorism isn’t a numbers game. It’s motive. We don’t have a motive for his actions. We have only the result.
