Yeah write out "the only" non-white character on the show. That's a real good idea. That can't POSSIBLY BE interpreted as offensive in the slightest. [/sarcasm]

Sounds like a piss poor reason to continue watching.

"No, Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro are shallow. They are not real scientists and the show reflects that."

Just because you think the show has no material/characters/story/nuance that merits critical thinking, doesn't make it so.

And yet you still watch.

Yes because the show NEVER portrays the men in unflattering lights, EVER! [/sarcasm]

"The other characters are cliche and generic-either obsessed with sex/love or a nerd stereoptype. They are only interesting when they interact with Sheldon.
Take Sheldon and Amy out of TBBT and I'm not sure what is left worth watching."

There you go making assumptions again, yes Jim is a big part of the shows success, but saying he has been carrying the show is an interpretation without nuance. The show with him didn't even become a ratings hit right away. In fact the season where they scored their best within their desired demographic was season

-your making alot of assumptions about Claire's likes and dislikes without knowing much about them.

Their dynamic didn't take center stage until season 8, and ratings were down from season 7. That doesn't mean that shamy were the cause, just that I think the claim that THEY are the reasons ratings skyrocketed is flawed and lacks nuance.

Being super smart does not disqualify someone from being a weirdo. IMO they are weirdoes, but there is nothing wrong with that.

They never said that they had a lack of money, they wanted enough money to support any possibilities the future would bring once their child is born.

"Its Chuck Lorre's preconcived notions, not mine."

Leonard only liked penny for her looks? Your interpreting things without nuance, and ignoring the times Leonard thought about/brought up her non physical qualities.
Not interesting? Again your view, not the characters.

Ugly? In your eyes, but your shallow eyes are not the same as the characters.

Not sure I agree 100% with your police work there Lou. A couple points on the Raj storyline:

Agreed. Those three character bonds to me, are the heart of the show. Not that I haven't liked bits and pieces of, howard-raj, sheldon-amy, howard-bernadette, or even penny-amy. But the 3 character pairings you mentioned above are when I find this show at its most engaging.

Sure they committed to that with penny and Leonard. Just listen to staurts speech about them in season 7, and look where they are now.

Not every sitcom characters need to be dealing with issues in a "mature and sad" fashion.

They had that with Sheldon/penny in this episode. Just because there were laughs doesn't mean the moment wasn't genuine.
