Great game, but battle took forever, waiting for that damn % to increase was also incredibly stressful.

Hundreds of people in a game with something like 11 millions user on a monthly basis. That just prove my point.
I think one of the attitude that I found the most displeasing in this whole episode of gaming community is the attitude that "of course everyone is shitty on the internet, except for me" usually seen in the form of a comment like "I'm sure all the comment in this will be respectful" .
A quick search on kotaku (league of legends) gave me pretty much 0 article specifically about lore. I believe I'm not the new one here.
I'm pretty sure they won't since wow gameplay consist of adventuring, which is pretty easy to make movie out of, see lord of the ring. LoL gameplay consist of people being stuck in a small arena and fighting people they hate/care for or themselves with no distinction.
How so? Heartstone is not popular because of lore, heck most card are based on class with no connection to the story and any large lore.
How could anyone take lol lore seriously when it's completely disconnected from the gameplay. Any sense of investment in the lore will be destroyed when sworn enemy team up to repeatedly kill there love interest (and also themselves).
I don't see how you could make a lol story/movie. The only way would be to ignore gameplay completely, at which point you're already ignoring what's established in game, so there's really no need to retcon the in-game lore. Pretty sure most other video game movie ignored game lore, only paying it lips service.
Oh noes, now we won't have context for why two factions are fighting each others while having access to a bunch of identical guys.
Sounds cool, definitely like how they were talking about the voice actor being more like NASA mission than drama.
Completely different things, we're talking about anonymous person posting stuff on the internet, not a large portion of the population including most institution.
You're comparing different situation, a small community (school) that have to be with each others, and the internet, made of millions of different people.
I agree we need to try a new solution, every time something like this happens there are cry/post/letter/FB status/tweet and all that bringing attention to the the situation.
Hum that might be the case, I played the game not too long ago on modern computer and didn't have a problem with them, but maybe it would look jarring to an audience who didn't know those were older game.
Ignoring is the closest thing to one that exist. Death threat are an illegal action and should be handled as such.
Why not? Who decide what opinion can and cannot be heard and who chose them? How do you decide that an opinion shouldn't be heard without hearing it first?
Way to miss the point, the hateful harassing speech is the result of two things:
It looks fine, I'm not gonna say it ruin it because it clearly doesn't, but it was also completely unnecessary, so why do it?
Would it be possible to see the full list of comment you deleted in a few days? It's hard to grasp how wide spread the case of "people not saying nice things" in article are since there getting deleted. Are we talking 1, 2, 5, 10, 25% of the comment being posted? And were does the line of "saying something not nice"…
US law? Montreal and Edmonton are US territory now? Damn when did the annexation happen? Also is it such a stretch to think that someone who can fix the import face bug could do something else? Pretty sure there aren't any "face import bug fixer specialist" who cannot do anything else.
