I really mostly blame the dev, or rather the dev who make a big deal out of every negative comment. Pretty much every "controversy" I see fall within two category:

That's not always wise, money and time are involved, his situation was that he didn't play most FF, so between the one that are praised to no end and the one that's very controversial it's pretty obvious to me which one you should try first (especially if the praised one are cheaper).
Linearity really isn't FF13 problem thought, it's the... well everything else without talking about spoiler. FFX was just a little bit less linear than 13 but it's far superior on all other account.
How did you come to the conclusion that FF13 would be your surefire way to get a bit of fun? At this point I'd figure that FF13 reputation as the most controversial FF would be well known. Even more so if you haven't played most of them (and you didn't like 13-2), you should have gone for… well pretty much any of…
Yes, it's a cheap shot at Final Fantasy XIII, and we've been accused in the past of beating the living daylights out of the poor game. Thing is I like Final Fantasy XIII. I have friends who are Final Fantasy XIII. I love the style, the combat, some of the emotional cues — but yeah, it was pretty damn linear, and…
It's okay but nothing amazing, if it's the only tale game you haven't played and really liked the other one go for it, otherwise skip for some other tale.
Not quite what I'm talking about, the problem wasn't her, she was a good character, in fact it really felt like a group of people at ubisoft tried really hard to craft her into something interesting. But then they put her into a really generic role and had her act really out of character.
"Hey let's have this great female character, who can hack even better than the main character and have her be independent"
Wouldn't that kill it? Or at least be bad for it and other trubbish?
I'll support this, terror in resonance tries really hard to be smart, but it's just not. At this point the police have more than enough evidence to discover 12 and 9, it's just baffling that they haven't. And there objective to expose the corrupt politician is just ridiculous, what they did is far worse than what the…
Wrong way to look at it, LoL is so successful and can afford to milk so little out of there customer because they were one of the first (there were some before them, but not as good) good F2P. At this point LoL is relying on its size as its biggest marketing point, you wanna play LoL because everyone you know is…
Did not know that, still one versus how many pokemon can you get now if you don't ransomer from old game, don't trade over internet and don't use any event things, just you and your friend probably close to half
No I mean back when every pokemon was obtainable in game, because it's a real video game, not some Facebook "like our post get stuff" game.
There was a time were every pokemon was obtainable in game, no need for special event.
Hey remember the time when catching rare pokemon and finding rare item meant actually going out into the world and adventuring? Cause "connect to the internet" not exactly exciting way to get pokemon.
Do we know who initiated the talk to make this happen? The expendable producer or the broforce dev?
I somewhat agree, but with some caveat, mythia was just so random without being told about it almost nobody would figure it out. Lost sinner is another "huh that's it?" boss for me (even more jarring that it was one of the 4 main boss) I was completely expecting the bug to come out and attack me after putting her…
Nah I close the gate, but then he get up and barely has any health so you can kill him before he even has the time to launch any attack on you.
This was one of the few boss that was actually visually interesting in DS2 (i.e. he's not one/two armored dude or a copy of a DS1 boss), sadly he was also one of the easiest, was expecting a real second round after putting him down, but nope, really embody the "that's it?" feeling.
I'm also wondering, if I had to guess I'd say it must be an anime sequence in a game.
