OMG DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS?!?!?!

I would appreciate 1 billion stars, thank you!

Actually an 11 month old really doesn’t HAVE TO eat solids. Most do, but it’s not strictly speaking necessary for all kids. Pretty much all of a below-one-year-old’s nutrition is coming from breast milk or formula. Despite Herculian efforts, my son was (more or less) exclusively breastfed until he was about a year.

Ah. I did not read the linked article. I must have let my ire about similar-enough situations take over :-) WTF to the doctor indeed... or did the doctor say “try an almond milk based formula” and they were like “Almond milk! Got it!” I’m hopeful we’re dealing with two idiots here, not three.

I’m a writer for a parenting website and... yeah. That’s pretty much my main message in half my articles “Everyone is going to judge you, so just do your thing and fuck those jerks.”

I definitely know some kids who were exclusively breastfed for a year. We introduced my son to foods around 6 months but he didn’t take to them until he was about a year. My daughter started trying solids around 6 months but wasn’t interested until about 9. A common refrain these days is “Food before 1 is just for

GOD FUCKING DAMNIT: FORMULA IS NOT RAT POISON!

Seriously, before she even started crying I began sobbing for THE SAME reason she did.

This might be my favorite thing you’ve ever written, Jia, and I mean no disrespect to your other fabulous, non-snack related work. But this is like you ripped out my soul, waved your wand over it, and allowed it to speak to me and to the world. Bless you, you magical creature.

Every day, I wake up and think “Maybe I’ll actually make it through a day without crying about something terrifically sad that I see on the internet...”

I hope this is your “random fact about me” that you whip out at parties and ice-breaker activities at work/school functions...

Actually, I think “motherly” could work...

She could have been very good, I think, but she had to put herself on the backburner a bit more. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen Barbara take on a role that wasn’t “Barbara Streisand AS...” She’s always herself first, which is part of her charm and what makes her an icon, but when you have a role like Dolly you need

Really? I think Bette is better suited than Babs!

For really for real. Bette, my goddess, and Dolly, the role that made me a star... for the two weekends I performed it in my high school in Connecticut... 15 years ago.

When the world turned on Anne Hathaway I never did! SHE AND I ARE GOING TO BE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!
