OK, Bloomberg.

Matt Stone wore it better.

Gabby? I mean, I get that Abby Hunstman was a damp squib, but let’s at least diss her by the correct name.

Do you have a non-Google Android phone? I’ve heard the Pixel is competitive for photos.

Only problem for Bloomberg is there are eight million New Yorkers who remember living under his regime for three unprecedented terms and won’t let him dupe America into thinking we were OK with any of it.

I would forget if I weren’t so nervous that he could win Iowa. And if I weren’t so steamed about the better-qualified candidates who have left the primary because Mayo came in and sucked up all the remaining oxygen. And seasoning.

And this, ladies and gents, is how the privileged class maintains their grip on the status quo: by giving jobs--and then their old job--to their friends and people who look like them.

Such an apt analogy. Tellingly, Fox News (being the Murdoch-owned bedsore it is) doubled down on denying the severity of Katrina. Shep Smith shouting “This is perspective!” to a bloviating Sean Hannity really tells you all you need to know about their respective character.

ScarJo cries and does a bad accent.

I vaguely feel that was the subtext of Issa Rae’s off-camera reaction to announcing Erivo’s nomination.

Look at the bright side Scarlett Johansson got two nominations. A true triumph for Asian women.

Hearing the story of her upbringing as well just reinforces how mighty she is, and why she commands that attention onscreen. I marched with United for Peace and Justice at an anti-war rally in 2005-ish, and she made a surprise appearance along the route. That was one of the most energizing speeches of the day. The

[Does quick search. Hopes it isn’t Joy, Whoopi, or Sunny.] Oh, it’s Abby. Eh. From one nepotism job to another.

But Taika did pick up a nomination for Adapted Screenplay.

It’s a decent movie if you’re a child, but beyond costuming and art direction, it was a simplistic film. I also saw it after I saw Parasite for the first time, and so by comparison Jo Jo was like reading a colouring book after finishing the masterworks of literature.
