I felt a great disturbance in the Reddit, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out “well, actually...” and were suddenly silenced.

Nope! There’s been a lot of hand wringing about how you shouldn’t wish cancer on anyone, and a part of my brain knows that true, but honestly? Couldn’t have happened to a nicer person. The world is not a better place with him in it.

Is it wrong my first thought about Rush was, “Good. Karma is working.”

I’d thought he’d previously done some whiskey commercials in Japan back in the day, but then I realized I’d just absorbed Lost in Translation as some sort of documentary...

...& the restless dead thank you for your service...some of us appreciate your efforts...guess not everybody gets it...but they say it takes all sorts?

Deadsplinter does not invite comparison to Deadspin or Splinter. It offers refuge for the entire Kinja community and was named after the first two main blogs to die. Deadsplinter will never be a place with ads, greys (such as yourself here on Jezebel) or trolls. We will never equate to the Kinja main blogs because we

They don't want autoplaying videos any more than you. I'd link to the Editor-In-Chief statements asking for feedback to be directed at the higher-ups, but the higher-ups took those down. Herbs, the lot of them.

Thank you.

That link is great because the comments are still displayed. So many commenters who used to participate enthusiastically. I wonder what happened to them?

I also miss Splinter and Deadspin. I am no sports fan, but I did read Deadspin on the regular.

I just went to read the Deadspin tribute to Mike Hogewood, because I’m feeling nostalgic and his voice was Saturdays with my dad.

Wow, a polarizing NBA ledgend dies in a tragic accident during what is one of the biggest weeks for American Football... if only there was a blog to go for stories about those topics.

I’m disappointed that some variation on this wasn’t the very first comment posted.

When you scrolling through the want ads, see “Offensive Coordinator,” and think “I could do that.”

ok but that’s the most scripted looking dive I’ve seen outside of Spanish Futbol.

I rarely buy perishable items at Costco.  As most people said already, its dog food (yes perishable, but its a normal sized bad) and stuff for the house like TP.  The Cheez Ballz bucket is also single serving, so those wont be around long enough to go bad...
