My thoughts exactly. They had a blueprint for making good Spider-Man movies specifically (one they created) and still screwed that up.

Pretty sure that’s what happened. Then the players were called freeloaders. While the dev apparently meant that as a joke it’s pretty easy to see how a playerbase complaining about overpriced “micro” transactions would take that personally.

It’s taken them 4 years of development. Why would it worry you that a game took 4 years to develop? It isn’t more worrying that it took them 4 years to develop the first 5-10 percent of a game?
