No, Doctor Who is still worth keeping up with.

Damn it, Janet, I love you. Well said.

Spicy take!

I wouldn't even go that far, but that's just me.

Every time this topic comes up, I fondly think back to my then um-fan-blinkered view of the new show when I watched that scene and enjoyed an easy laugh with RTD for sneaking something past kids.

It's probably going to take people getting past the "gay people even exist and that doesn't make it OK to mistreat or ignore them" phase. For example, Trump just removed the LGBTQ category from the next census; I doubt he did so because he's woke.

*pushes glasses up nose*

That's a good observation but look, when you've got fifty-some-odd years of a sci-fi show to fill up, not every concept is going to be another Dalek.

"Get most of their money back" is so wrong, they should get it all back plus interest.

Indeed, and now it works out great for them because the artist keeps getting smaller percentages of the profit. I expect sometime in the future, having a hit song will get you nickel-sized checks from the industry while it's doing gangbusters itself.

It's not the artists at blame here, it's the companies that need more crap to fill the pipeline. Artists just take these shit gigs to pay the rent while working on their real stuff which companies won't touch. (Of course, 90% of these artists aren't worth much more than this anyway, I know.)

Gravity was probably the best use of 3D for a "crowd-pleaser" (Cave Of Forgotten Dreams for all time though).

For most films, that's pretty effective.

Jesus Christ.

Like you don't need more of those.

I've found them to be of variable quality; sometimes pretty good, sometimes oh god did I actually pay money for this bad.

It is quite entertaining - this fact, not the film, probably.

Hm. I want to like these a lot, but… each successive click of a YouTube video pulled me down. The first one was good, though, it felt like Gorillaz. The further I went on, the less I was enjoying them though.

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
