Only a matter of time before some 4chan board decides to mass-suicide one weekend and ruin everyone’s fun.

Destiny, a video game in which you travel space saying “holy shit House of Wolves is amazing!”

Well you people have had years to run fiber to my apartment in Manhattan which is FEET away from an internet backbone (the building google bought to be exact).

Shorter version, if you just want the list of the list of what she says are "Eight things developers can do to make games less shitty for women", paraphrased from my notes... not that a lot of this pertain to action games and probably make more sense if you're thinking about first and third-person shooters, the Arkham

I'm the Editorial Director of the entirety of Gawker Media, and I while I appreciate your feedback, we are institutionally down with cannabis, both as a subject matter and as a personal adulterant choice.

It's not a bungled launch, the game still runs but has glitches like any other large sandbox game. As games get more complicated they're naturally going to have more bugs to sort out. That doesn't mean it's ok to ship a game in a broken state, but it's also not some massive conspiracy of mediocrity.

I would attribute that to Bungie though and they didn't have anything to do with the development of this game.

What was that old argument that stupid and terrible DARE tried to scare kids with? That drug dealers will give you a free "sample" to get you hooked and addicted? Yeah right. Drug dealers don't give away free product.

For anyone who's not sure how this works, here's a quick primer (source: I work in game development):

When you make a big, open-world style game like Destiny, there's a lot of stuff that goes into what is essentially pre-visualization.

Employees aren't interchangeable. When the maps are done being designed, that doesn't mean the coding is. Or the weapon balance. Or the enemy AI. A common complaint when patches roll out is "Oh! They fixed [boss exploit] but they still haven't fixed [weak weapon A] or [slow matchmaking]!!!" As if the same 1 dude

Seriously, this generation is really indicative of just how important competition is. I'm a big Xbox guy (although I usually eventually get the other consoles as well), but all I have to say is, thank God for Sony. Without them I wouldn't be getting free games on my 360 and XB1, and MS probably wouldn't be working

Holy crap. This is an amazingly in depth review of the game compared to some of the other reviews of destiny I have seen.

World first races are fun. I know I enjoy watching or keeping up with the world first races in WoW. Personally I've been apart of a few realm firsts in the past and those were a blast to do. But the thing about fun is that it's subjective, what's fun for me may not be fun for you.

See, this bugs me quite a bit. Back when she released her first video, I felt there were some problems with it, so, as best I could, I explained why I felt that way. People chose to take it as "concern trolling," and much, much worse. Her defenders, at the time, remind me of the same people who attack and deride her.
