I trim before my period, too. I shaved once or twice as a teenager, before it got thicker, but it was too much of a pain. It feels like stuffing steel wool down your panties when it grows back.

It's also too much of a pain to keep it shaved. If you naturally have a lot of hair, the skin gets irritated if you try and get rid of it all. And I would never try waxing. Ouch

As a girl, I agree. It's more hygenic, in my opinion to keep it trimmed, and more convenient, even when not sexually active
