"I simply cannot understand how any parent could kill themselves." —Henry Rollins
When did you go full retard?
You basically described the worst possible person to be talking about the motivations of suicide. Someone whose experiences give him no way to relate.
There are a million reasons not to do it. These are NOT two of the reasons:
As opposed to the good old days, when people always just held their tongues and let obnoxious opinions go unanswered.
Thing is, "The way to stop yourself from committing suicide is to stop yourself from committing suicide" is not a very insightful observation. So his piece boils down to his opinion that people who go through with it are losers.
Maybe, but he was wrting his un-doctored opinions in the L.A. Weekly.
Except unlike Simmons, Rollins sat down and wrote it out with carefully selected words. It's not some off-the-cuff thing. He's thought about this.
I'm not saying he's right! Jesus.
There's rarely a pragmatic dimension to suicide.
He's not saying he's frustrated. He's saying he's disappointed and they're no longer deserving of his regarding them as actual human beings.
That's it, Henry Rollins is out of my analog world. Out!
I never felt like Mack was overshadowed in the remix. His flow meshed perfectly. With a few notable exceptions, you can cherry-pick awful lyrics from virtually any rapper. I think the reason he didn't do much else probably had more to do with behind-the-scenes ambition (or relative lack thereof) than talentlessness.
Absurd things are actually pretty easy to remember, which is why memory techniques suggest using outlandish imagery.
I remember not wanting to admit to myself that I liked "Loser", because I was worried that it was like when I was tricked into liking "Ice Ice Baby" by its catchy hook. It took me several months to acknowledge that, unlike "Ice Ice Baby", it's actually a well-crafted song.
Maybe she's a fan? Crazy idea, I know.
Most people outside the deep South had to get their CD on special order.
You're like the Forrest Gump of celebrity scandal.
No, but similar.
