I am a software engineer and work with some really brilliant people. Scientists are not the only smart people who do dumb things; engineers do, too.

this made me chuckle... I do a lot of work with doctors (mostly surgeons). They are basically geniuses in their profession, but remove them from that setting and they make some of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen people make. They can’t do jack for themselves.

Consider it like this: The hammer works with someone who has integrity. You can do wrong things and still have integrity, so long as you’re unaware of your wrong actions. Once Thor was told, and came to believe, that he was doing wrong then it was another matter.
