Yes, I think that is indeed the reason. Microsoft’s Direct Storage is just becoming available to developers and I imagine users will see it sometime this year, but we aren’t their yet.

Maybe a computer-knower can tell me if I’m wrong, but does this maybe have something to do with the super fast data transfer from the SSD on the PS5? Like, the PS5 is pulling data straight from the disk at times & can get away with less RAM as a result, but because PC setups vary so wildly they’re suggesting you have

Exactly, I built a PC with 32 gigs of RAM in 2020 and another in 2021 with the knowledge that PC games were headed that way anyways. The reason PS5 and Series X can run these game with smaller amounts of RAM is because it’s soldered to the PCB and as close as possible to the CPU which makes it extremely efficient.

I mean, it’s RAM. Don’t people just go and add as much as the computer will allow? It’s the easiest part of the whole buying process. Just get a shit ton and forget about it for the next decade.

I hope they bleed them for all they’re worth. fuckers.

Good.

Yep. They just make the statement with no backup. Typical click-bait era news.

I’m going to cast side-eyes at the messenger, CNBC, in the same way that I do MSNBC and ABC.

This is a stupid headline and a stupid article

This Is not a good take. We need to make the electric grid resilient to people don’t literally die first, but also so cars can charge. This massive winter storm was exacerbated by power regulators failure to winterize natural gas power plants and the GOP deregulation of the TX utility market unable to load balance.

Maybe that was the most lackluster cobbled-together unveil packed with outright lies I’ve ever seen and I don’t feel like dealing with Elon’s bullshit anymore.”

You lost me at the circa-2004 Chinese chassis and body. That’s the era of Chinese motoring from which the Brilliance BS6 came and promptly crumpled into a jagged coffin after its first EuroNCAP crash test. If I absolutely had to have an EV for $6k, I’d peruse for Nissan Leafs, Smart fortwo electric drives, hell even

Privately owned family business... They can do whatever they want re: politics... “The arrangement fundamentally means that the family can utilize the sport’s name in any political machination they see fit.” Solution? Don’t watch the pre-race...

Yep, not a Tesla/Musk worshipper here, but this is the correct take.

This is what happens when you try to jump into a complex technology where someone has more then a decade of knowledge over you. You’re a decade behind. Tesla’s battery charge and utilization technology and knowledge is so far beyond it will take years to catch up to today and by then they will be ahead even more. I

Every journalist is clueless, that is why you got no answers. Tesla has spent the last seven years paying some of the best engineers in the world to improve the efficiency of the Model S a total of 27% since it was released. Porsche just started making EVs, it is absurd to think that they could start where it took

Obviously.

Live long enough to see yourself become the villain something something something...

I don’t know...if my life trajectory included being a livery driver for a single passenger in an i3, you don’t know how far I’m willing to go.
