LOL. Wut?

I always find it funny when dealership employees or any employee for that matter make fun of people who can’t afford a $200k car or other pricy stuff. Dude, you are a sales employee. You can’t afford that shit either, so don’t act all mighty.

He probably shouldn’t have fucked up his relationship with the military with his trans service twitter ban if that was the case, I’d think?

Again - they are gearing up for an attempted coup/dictatorship (I said attempted before anyone get’s all “that would never be successful!!”).

And people wonder why I have a strong anti-authoritarian streak with how we legislate around cops?

But... then how would we ever get cops hired in America?

For all of Trump’s tough-guy rhetoric, if he was ever in a fist fight, he’d fold faster than Superman on laundry day.

If you get ANY joy out of being violent you should not be a police officer.

It’s amazing how in the UK the police actively boo politicians like that and helped orchestrate the downfall of a Tory politician who was an impolite cunt to them (known as the Plebgate affair) while in the US the police seem to want to beat the shit out of people they arrest.

It’s also pretty terrible that there are so many crazies that we can separate them into “usual” and “unusual” categories.

I honestly feel like being diagnosed with Cancer put some things in perspective for him. Like maybe he is like I have Cancer, I might die, fuck it! I’m done trying to play nice/unite the party, blah, blah.

The Party of (No) sneezed. I guess we’re seeing that cold catch over here too.

I’d also like white supremacists to suddenly realize the ills of racism, and for all wasps to magically transform into unicorns that shit gold coins.

Agreed. People that are assholes don’t mystically become nice people when they get cancer, they just become assholes that have cancer.

So you just want Democrats to do what exactly? Just sit back like Republicans did and take their ball and go home and refuse to do anything? Not govern? Not offer any solutions? It working out really well for the Republicans so far.

I am not at all sure about this hot take. The ACA actually needs some actual fixes, like right now. Those are literally impossible without some Republicans votes. Wouldn’t any process to apply those fixes necessarily be bipartisan in nature? Besides, you have to have some rejoinder to the Hyper Turtle over there

Schumer seems to think that bipartisanship is a possibility or, at least, the road Americans want Democrats to take.

Does it matter? Regardless of whatever bipartisanship hot air Schumer spouts off, he helped keep a unified Democratic opposition against the bill, and even got a couple Republican split-off votes. I personally don’t care much for stale talk of bipartisanship, but the results regardless are good.
